Is it me or is the overview bugged? I had to re-install eve when incursion came thus all my settings got reset. When I was trying to dial in my overview as I have many times before...I cant get some things to show color....mainly neuts. I read somewhere that the overview may be bugged but have looked and can't find the thread again.....
Anybody?

Unless we are talking about different things, this is a indeed bug which hopefully will be fixed in the next patch.

There are a few OV bugs since the last patch..
I noticed yesterday while engaged with a target whom I had sensor damped to kill his locking range, he still showed as red boxed and having me locked, despite him no longer having me locked.
Another bug I've noticed is with Local and war targets (FW) they keep losing their WT stars. I have to keep scrolling local or resetting it to show them as WT's then the icon will just disappear again with-in a min or less.

I'm getting an odd thing intermittantly where the bits on the overview are gray rather than white. Usually happens when I've destroyed a NPC rat and then salvaged it but has been known to come in to play when using a jump gate. Changing to a different tab and back again usually fixes it.

the problem I've been having is I just can't get neuts off my overview, they just won't filter out.

I saw the same for the first couple of days after main patch. IME its indicating you're about to desync - a session change usually fixes it, then it'll creep back.
Been fine since last Saturday though.

There is no way to workaround fix but maybe a real fix will be in today's patch...still waiting for the patch notes. ----- Malevolence. is recruiting. Dive into the world of 0.0 !

Edited by: munitqua on 27/01/2011 12:23:02 Its there in the patchnotes!
User Interface
òNon-agent NPCs will now have portraits. òPilots now have two options in the overview filter: ◦No Standing and Neutral Standing. ■When "No Standing" is unchecked, only pilots who are in your contact list will appear in your overview. ■When "Neutral Standing" is unchecked, pilots who are in your contacts as "Neutral" will no longer appear in the overview. òThe contract window will no longer become unresponsive after trying to delete a non-outstanding contract.
Gonna try this soon, hopefully it really really works :).
EDIT: Oh i misread, contacts list..... i was reading too fast :P

Sigh, this is not fixed.
Even though there is now a new filter setting, you still cannot set a colortag/background color for "no standing" (how is that different from neutral standing exactly?)
Do I really need to go through and add every single person I see as a neutral contact so I can have a colortag on them? That's ridiculous.

It's not CCP's job to cater to your OCD. You don't need a color tag on each and every item in your overview. Learn to adapt.

You are a subpar troll. I didn't complain about anything. I just told you to **** off into the air. If you were half as smart as you think you are, you would shut your gaping maw after the patch announcement specifically aimed at the overview. So, to recap, you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground and everybody, except for you mr. fail troll, recognizes this is a problem. Adapt and biomass your troll alt and try again next time. If you were as smart as YOU think you are, you'd realize what all the tards whining about in this thread is actually possible since this morning's patch if they actually pulled their head out of their ass long enough to learn how the new settings work. The patch tomorrow addresses background colors, not color tags.

I could really give a **** about how anything shows up in my overview, it's more about watching local. Personally (for the last two years) I've had neutrals with a red colortag so I notice them in the local window. It is NOT possible (without setting neutral standing to anyone/everyone) for that to work right now.
Truthfully, I've gotten used to it over the last week or so, but it's still not very noticeable when someone new comes into your current system.

^This. I see stations or planets aggressing me. Or i see them red. I see neutrals in station sitting, but they are blue. I see fleet members not showing up with the right color. When switching from left monitor to the right my overview on my second accound is messed, only minimizing the overview will update this mess. While in fleet broadcasting a target ends up in having broadcasted wrecks and everyhting is messed up totally to this feature pretty much useless.
BUT this was all petitioned. Also there are bug reports for that. Those bugs are very old but never got fixed. And i am very sure i am not the only person in eve who had reported that.

Edited by: Trimmer Jones on 28/01/2011 21:17:33 Edited by: Trimmer Jones on 28/01/2011 21:12:35 Same as above, but pirate icons do show up. but only after they are attacking you, even if they have been in the same system over 45 minutes. Local doesn't always update with the commings and goings, making it useless for seeing reds in local and getting safe. Dead ships stay on the overview after they have been destroyed, and still have you locked when they don't exist.
When filing petitions i get a "please fill out bug report form." I fill out bug reports for game mods I work on, not games I pay to play.
The optional patch had been installed, and i still lost a ship because standings and colortags weren't being displayed in local, or overview.

Pressing right Alt makes all objects on overview appear light gray and reloading overview does not clear it. Only jumping out of system clears it.
And i wont post a bug report, ccp staff should escalate petitions to bug reports as i allready wrote everything there! me |

Eura,
You have NO IDEA what you are talking about. It is obvious you have never resided in 0.0 in a corp protecting systems where it is imperative that neutrals are indicated and distinguished on overviews, but also particularly in the Local chat window. They were indicated before Incursion, but no longer are.
I suggest you keep your mouth shut unless you 100% know what you're talking about.

CCP, you've really screwed up the overview settings now.
It is imperative for players in corps living in 0.0 that neuts appear gray in Local chat -- as well as the other overview settings screw ups now reported in this topic.
If we were playing tennis, you would have just cut all the strings out of our rackets. Doesn't really want to make one want to play till the strings are back.
