...and players doing Incursions in-game are dazed, confused, and dying.
Not a great way to keep people doing them.
Not a great first day. 4000+ deaths in ONE Incursion Constellation.
If the difficulty isn't curved, Sansha will clamp down on half of New Eden, and hilarity will ensue. ----------------------------- Welcome to EVE. Ship happens. |

It's new content and doesn't work like the old, so it's to be expected. Give it some time and people will figure it out or read a guide from someone who has. All the sites have been tasted, so they are very doable with competent groups.

Incursoins are no meant to be solod.
Incursions are not meant to be easy.
Incursions are to be treated as PVP affairs.
Learn to use logistics, in a fleet of 20 for the tier 3 incursions we had 5 rr bs, and 5 logsitics and were able to rep through 85% against us.

A lot of players won't even look at them simply due to the RR aggression mechanic being as it is.
Adding new content is great, but when one of the main mechanics used for fleets to take them on means one guy with a smartbomb can get half a fleet popped then it limits the content to large corps / alliances not random grouping.
Add in the neutrals showing on overviews that you've set to only show war targets and there's lots of players not too happy with the new incursion expansion currently.

Evidently, those random groupings has no trouble in getting themselves popped at sites without additional help.

I am glad I stocked up shiny goodies for all those deaths. All that junk I have will turn liquid
After the dust settles I will break out my Logistics and be the cool kid on the block.

So far I haven't gotten the chance to blow any of them up. But sewing seeds of mistrust among them is pretty funny. Like accusing one of the people that's involved of being a suicide. To see the slapping fight in the channel followed by the rr chain folling apart has been fun while I'm getting some suicide ships fitted up.

Wrote it allready: highsec Sanshas are fine IF you have a propper Fleet!
As I see it, Incursion should bring player into Corps and out of NPC areas. And this will happen. People will either form new corps OR try to join corps, which they see succeding in Sansha sites.
The "missions" are new, there are no guids atm. That's why so many people die atm. But I can ensure you, if you know how ... they aren't to hard anymore.
PLUS many dead player ships aren't killed by Sanshas but by suizid gangers, griffer and idiots :(. They exploid it atm like hell (FIX NEEDED).
And many kills are just frigs ;). One of our junger Members got 20 T1 frigs to jump in new sites to check them out ... he lost 15 of them *g*. No big deal, he did his job as scout. AND he could be part of our exploration. Jump in with T1 frig, sout and report, maybe plop, get new frig, jump in AFTER we jumped, got suport, got money! He had fun and was a great help for us and our desissions :).

plain and simple like alot peoples allready wrote above, Incursions are brandnew without guides and stuff so yeah unknown risk leads to quick deads for those aren't really having a clue how to be prepared just fitting a ship like you want to fly a regulary level 4 mission wont work.
Also many players even doesn't have engaged the similar NPC's ever within their life in eve the WH Sleepers which are coming close to the Threat those Sansha represent. Cuz most Highsec dwellers didn't visit ever a Wormhole System. So they doesn't have a clue how to Conter neuting, Nosing, Scrambling, Webbing, Targetswitching Omni Damage resistant, Omnidamage Causing NPC's.
SO yeah they are difficult, and a Dangerous threat for the regular player and they will die alot until they adapted to this new Competition. Give it time and it will settle down

Please stop looking at the stats for the first day and making blanket statements.
Honestly. I am sure the stats for wormholes would have been exactly the same if it weren't for the fact you needed some skill to find them in the first place.

ITT: bears are learning how to work effectively in groups, and starting to go through the same evolution that PvPers did in 2003-present.
Lots of catching up to do, but luckily most of the answers have already been worked out in advance and just need to be learned.
Godspeed!
Malcanis' Law: Whenever a mechanics change is proposed on behalf of "new players", that change is always to the overwhelming advantage of richer, older players. |

I'd wager a good half of those losses at least are noobships and cheap T1 frigates that belonged to looter alts. I certainly see a lot of those wrecks in the Vanguard sites I explored today.

This.
Some sites are completely littered with frigate wrecks and other various "non-loss" type ships. I mean.. completely trashed with them. A veritable cheap-fleet junkyard.

AccGates restricted, no PODs allowed ;).
And yes, PvE highsec Corps will form or get new Members as these Corps now can offer something, a solo Pilot can't do in highsec.
BUT as you need some fundamental knowlage about Fleet-OPs like aligne, stay in range, RR, fleet-targeting, Overview Settings(!) or propper Fleet-Fits this might be a good source for your 00-sec Fleets. So you don't get absolut Rookies but some basic-trained Fleet Members ;).

Why do people keep thinking it is to have random people grouping together for them? Shhh... That's just stupid.
Take 20 of your corpies/alliance mates, get into logi ships (lets say 1 logi per 5 other ships), all the bs should be well rigged, plated, with tracking enchancers to hit the faster moving crap. Sniper bs work well usually, use small drones to kill frigs. Be prepared to lose a whole lot of t1-t2 small drones, but they cost next to nothing so it's not a problem.
I didn't do the incursions on TQ yet, but on sisi 4 guardians repping each other could survive the firepower of a high sec incursion without a problem.
DON'T stay in one place, it's not a level 4 mission, it's like you getting into a blob fight with a smaller fleet.

Consider it "endame content" and stop trying to do it a) solo, b) without planning/preparation and in a disorganized matter.
It's very simple really, I hope all the spoiled solo farming brats will stop whining soon.
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

So this expansion brought something for both PVE and PVP minded people.
PVE-ers join/make corporations to do insursions. PVP-ers get to wardec more PVE corporations :D
