Going from smallest (3-5) to largest what class ships can be used for the different sized incursion sites ? Can you do the smallest one in frigate ? Cruiser ? Just a small query for people already doing incursions - What class ships would you say is the recommeded for different sized sites ?

HACs, Command ships, and logis. Same ships, same ratio, different numbers.

Scout/staging sites can be done solo with an AS, HAC or T3. Everything else requires fleets. -- [Aussie players: join ANZAC channel] |

Edited by: Android Destructoid on 26/01/2011 13:58:56 I'd say for Vanguard you could use 2 E-War BS's, 4 D(amage)D(ealing) BS's. E-War and DD BS's should form up a cap chain (2 transfers per ship) and have 1 remote repper. 4 remaining ships (to make it 10) should be either AF's or preferably HAC's (think certain T1 cruisers in skilled hands could do too). E-war shuts up main enemy DD's while rest of the fleet concentrates on enemy logistical support. Once enemy RR are gone you send all drones and HAC's after frigs and rest starts pounding main enemy DD's. It requires coordination and calling primaries and secondaries as well as initial e-war targets. In other words it requires a good team of people who know what they are doing and not a random set of people with no fleet and remote repping experience. Also somehow I'm thinking missile ships are better suited for incursion than other ships. Missiles do not have the optimal range problem so you can attack with them both distant enemy logistical support and close range damage dealing vessels. With turret setups you'd have to make choices and split your fleets total damage dealing capability.

Aah thanks for the response - would a BC or Cruiser be sufficient for the smaller sites ?
