Is there a listing somewhere of what skill each new player starts off with? Are there different sets of starting skills per race or sub race choice? Basically I'm looking for what you come with before you train anything at all. I am looking to start someone down the researching/building lines but want to take advantage of what ever I can in that area.
Thanks in advance

Essentially you begin with pretty much the same skills, as far as I remember it's only the racial frigate skill that differs. Race/Bloodline is not a strong factor in your starting skills these days. ------------------------------------------------ Quafe is people! |

Everybody starts off nowadays with a nearly identical and very minimalistic skillset (about 50k or 60k SP total). IIRC, you get Engineering, Electronics and Science to L3 plus a few others a bit less interesting, and the only racial differences are in which racial gun and racial frigate you start with (again, if memory serves right, L3 in racial gun and L2 in racial frigate). Any differences between starter skillsets can pretty much be eliminated by a couple of hours of skill training. _

If you've used up all your alts you could make a trial account and open up the character there to see what exact skills they start with.
But they are all pretty much the same now except for the Faction Frigate and Faction Weapon skills.
At one time ... you could pick what Career your character was going to be and a subset within that career that gave you a whole set of skills designed to start you off in that career - but then - they did away with all that, along with any meaning behind the bloodlines and just gave everyone double speed learning time so they could pick their own skills.
I think the old way was better ... but it had it's flaws. Mostly people would think they wanted to do one thing and then change their mind.
