What is the very best music in your opinion to get stoned to?
It seems that when I do occasionally light up, my perception of music gets much more detailed, the songs seem longer and more detailed. This is especially true for loop based music. Sometimes, when i do get hallucinations they respond to the music. I begin to visualize the sound.
Quite a few weeks ago i discovered this Australian band Called Desmond Cheese and that was just the ****zle to listen to after lighting up. After playing this game for many years i know for a fact that there are many of you out there playing under the influence. So whats your take on the best music to listen to when you are in the haze?

To be honest, any music you like or start with your favorite album and go from there. Or you could have a friend introduce you to something you have never heard before, maybe something with an international flavor so it stretches the musical boundaries of your "hearing"
As for your comment about songs feeling longer when high, I can say that Sublime's Robin the Hood was one of my most interesting listens when I was in college. I had only heard a few of there songs in the past and when I got stoned at a friends dorm room they put that album on, so when I heard the album it was my first time. I got swallowed up into the songs and the couch and the rants of the insane man spattered throughout the album really fascinated me. It felt like hours had passed when the album was done when the CD is only a minute over an hour.

Edited by: Admiral Leviathan on 27/01/2011 16:11:13 I don't want to get stoned listening to good music. WTF is wrong with you guys? I'd much rather the first stone hit me on the head and killed me instantly.

Blizzard music, seriously :D
I remember once my playlist shuffled to some random wow music, very nice crowd pleasing stuff.
Just avoid pop or anything heavy and you will be fine

+1 to Boards of Canada, awesome music, and very good choice to listen to while stoned, as well as - and on a very similar vein - the Aphex Twin "Selected Ambient Works II".
But my personal favourite albums to listen to while stoned (or not!) would be Yawning Man - "Rock Formations" (also released as "Vista Point" in the US), Mushroom - "Analog Hi-Fi Surprise", and Kyuss - "Welcome to Sky Valley".
And then, going back further in time, Spacemen 3 should be mentioned as well... their "taking drugs to make music to take drugs to" motto was certainly not gratuitous.

I listen to various Stremcast feeds. I have a channel named "Cryosleep" in my playlist that's cataorized as "Zero Beat Guaranteed."
Perfect music to relax/read/sleep to.

The original thread title wasn't about music to get "really relaxed to", it was about burning and inhaling cannabis plant products, but that got moderated away - despite being a legal activity in quite a few parts of the world, and less harmful than imbibing booze, something the moderators have absolutely no problem with being discussed, or basing their avatar name on for that matter.
