Since the advent of planetary interactions and other systems, I hit upon an idea for 0.0 content. I would like to see something that characters can train for, it is something like a miniature Player Owned Structure, the "mining camp", it is very small and has to be placed 4.0AU away from a "target asteroid field"
The way it works is that the character will have specialized drones that mine veldspar at a certain rate, but first the player character has to actually scan the asteroid of veldspar in the target field with a special probe that links to the mining camp, they key here is to be able to automate mining of veldspar and have it collected and processed at a set rate based on skills of whatever mechanics necessary. The point is to have local tritanium in 0.0 accessible, I advocate an increase in the number of scientific and production jobs available at stations in 0.0 space, as well as allow the creation of more than one station in a certain system at an increased cost or something.
If they want to nerf logistics it should start at the source of all evil, Jita 4-4. Production of all nature should be easier to accomplished on a local level. You should not have to buy a bunch of compressed guns and jump freighter them out to wherever it is you live, and then turn it into tritanium to produce. Allow automated access to low end minerals only via a system that must be protected in a risk vs reward system that Eve constantly provides.

Seriously?
Are there not enough passive income sources in Eve?
Mining is easy enough to afk anyways.

If you want to mine Veldspar in 0.0, grab a barge and .. uhm, well .. mine Veldspar ?!

I have previously suggested mobile mining structures that can be picked up or destroyed by any player. Mining is not meant to be boring, it is simply meant to be ćnot risk freeĆ. As such I support any idea that automates this currently boring process.

Lots of things a boring. I'd love to have a "bot" I could launch in a cleared mission pocket that loots and salvages automatically while I complete the mission, so all I have to do is go back and just quickly pick it up. Or a setting that automatically adjusts prices on sell/buy orders within a predefined range .. or an autopilot option that not only automatically flies to a WP, but also docks and grabs all the stuff by itself. Or maybe a setting that automatically targets, approaches and jamms whatever jumps through a gate .. or ....
You get the point. I don't say it's not boring, I just say if it's too boring for you, leave it to someone who likes it and let him/her make a living on it.
If you automate everything that someone thinks is too boring, you may as well go and play "Progress Quest" :)
