If you've pre-ordered it, or have registered on the community website by the 25th, you'll have access to the beta today, can I expect to see anyone from EVE?
If you own a DOW game on Steam, you'll get access to it on the 8th too.
Also the Lord Commissar is gloriously British, which is great.

I've been playing DoW since the first game and when I saw the pre-order beta access and the bonus Imperial Guard kit I couldn't help myself anymore.
So yeah, I'll be playing it.

I was not going to get it.
I just now found out the Imperial Guard are in it.
I have reconsidered.

They are really milking the Warhammer 40K franchise. I brought all of the DOW 1 games but I will give DOW 2 series a miss. It's too micro management.

No idea which pack to purchase, as only recently played Soulstorm :0
did play dawn of war 2 a bit and well I kind of missed the whole base building stuff, why do all RTS seem to be moving away from it!!
can anyone shed any light on what they mean by build an army?

Started on the tabletop (Space Elves aka Eldar, baby), saw DoW 1, **** bricks.
I still play DoW for the craziness. DoW2 is a lot more faithful to the tabletop mechanics, if not the scale. Will probably be pre-ordering the Eldar pack for all the space-elf goodness!

Edited by: Rykuss on 03/02/2011 11:33:36 Oh man, I haven't even played DoW II properly since I got back into EVE. Hell, I didn't really get that far into soulstorm either which is a shame. I just bought C&C 4 and New Vegas too, haven't even broken the shrink wrap on them yet. So many games, so little time. Although I start my vacation in two days, so there's hope.
Edited to say, I loved the war journal before each mission in DoW and really hoped they'd bring that back.
