For a TV show, the cliches and predictable character profiles and plot "twists" were kept to a minimum it seemed.
However., the season finale last night, was just terrible and completely predictable in my opinion.
I don't like much sci fi on TV anymore, or in movies becuase most of the the plots and characters are just recycled from other movies. Am I being too cynical? Or, was the season finale actually good (but still squeezed too much for a one hour show)? |

Never heard of the series, so can't comment on it. Predictability isn't a bad thing though. Most stories are somewhat predictable and it doesn't decrease the enjoyment people get from them. It all depends on the storytelling and characters. A well told story isn't going to suffer from being predicatable and pulling unpredictable twists on the audience is a great way to ruin an otherwise good story. But as I said, I don't know the series and can't say how the season finale was.
I do find myself increasingly disliking most scifi these days too. The only scifi that I'm actually anticipating is the start of the 7th season of doctor who. It just seems to me, that most scifi in recent years has been reduced to creature features or otherwise stupid and depressing/survival plots. I really miss the sense of adventure and positivity that used to be common in scifi, with likeable main characters and well told decent stories, where you don't have to turn off your brain entirely to get enjoyment from story being told. |

Pretty much this.
I wanted to like the show, but it's going to be just another show we barely remember in ten years. The Skunkworks is recruiting. -áhttps://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1540711#post1540711 |

I watched the first few episodes of season one and consequently swore it off for good. What a terrible, boring, and dumb show. |
