Priceless.
Ratting 15h/day? Every day? Can't really imagine anyone being capable of that!

There's enough people who get less than 5 hours sleep a night that they've become identified as those at the highest risk of sudden death.
They can exist for years like that, but one day, BAM, stroke or massive heart attack out of the blue.

EVEs cute, its like an alternate universe where most of the player based is old enough to have experienced 72 hour camping waiting for a named to spawn and regular 14 hour a day every day grind sessions, but didn't.
Rest assured playing dozens of hours at a time doing a repetitive task is not that uncommon amongst us great ancient grindmasters. In fact its soothing and meditative.

Confirming that people who sleep enough never get strokes or heart attacks out of the blue. They get advance warnings per mail. --

Joke all you like, but something like 15 hours/day playing a game means you're remarkably sedentary, and no matter how you cut it that isn't healthy.

While I agree with your sentiment I personally think it is rather rude and distasteful to insinuate the OP is one day just - "BAM" - going to die a horrible death. For all we know he could live longer than all of us whatever risks he may be taking. There is a difference between "healthy" advice and a joke at the expense of someone else. I believe I have not misjudged the situation.
And yes for the record sleep deprivation is a serious health risk.

What I would do:
Write a very nice reply to the GM thanking him (her?) for their hard work in combating the macro and bot issue.
Then ask the GM, the next time they think you are botting, to please convo you in game to confirm there really is a person at the computer before taking any action against you account.
I'm serious about being nice. GM can be a thankless job, especially when they are about to swing the ban bat.

I don't really understand the premise of this topic. It seems to suggest that CCP are against Macros despite the fact that the game is absolutely riddled with macroers and botters these days. |

I made it clear that i was referring to a group who was highest at risk for sudden death, not exclusive to it.

I won't defend him because I don't know him, but 15 hours a day is within the realm of possibility, I'm sure I've done it more then a few times. Now if we are talking 15h every single day, that would really be pushing it. Realistically if your ratting 15 hours a day when do you go to the market/shower, how do you even find time to eat?

I would mine for 15 hours a day, every day if my employer would let me have my game running while I am working. I wouldn't be particularly efficient, but half an orca full of ore is better than no ore. -- [Aussie players: join ANZAC channel] |
