On the topic of propulsion mod choices, which one tends to be better, AB or MWD? |

depends on your need ...
MWD makes you go MUCH faster (500% vs 150%), though has downsides of reducing your capacitor capacity (IIRC 10 or 15%) as well as a 400% signature bloom (i.e. makes you a bigger target). |

^^this is why I ask. One would assume that more speed = better speed tank but if the sig bloom breaks it then whats the point. |

For speed tanking, go AB. For range tanking, go MWD. Since in FW plexes you don't have the luxury of keeping long range, AB is most commonly the one you want.
More details: the MWD speeds you up about 5x, but also makes your sig radius about 5x larger. I'm not exactly sure of the calculations behind this, but it roughly evens out to where you're about as easy to hit at max MWD speed as if you were going your max base speed at that same range. Note that orbiting with a MWD, you will almost never have max speed, since your speed gets reduced while orbiting. This means that, unless you're in an interceptor or an assault frigate (which get reduced MWD sig bloom), MWD is a "no-no" for signature tanking.
Additionally the MWD consumes cap like a boss, which can make it very had to impossible to run any tank on the side. Actually, if you're using EFT for theorycrafting, they've got a nice feature: hover over the speed number in your fit, and you'll get a stat labeled "Speed to signature ratio". The higher that number, the harder your ship is to hit, as a rule - provided that you're presenting maximum transverse speed (i.e. flying at pretty much right angles to whoever's shooting at you). If the ratio's north of 20 or so, you you've got a fairly decent chance to speed-tank ... provided you can maneuver.
A 10MB AB Atron with overdrive mods and small auxiliary thruster rigs can top 3000 m/s and get a speed/sig ratio of over 90 ... but it can't even turn as fast as a mining barge while its AB is lit. |

You can fit a 10mn ab on an atron? I would need to effectively double my cap for that |

How about you grow a pair and try some fighting? FW doesn't want more of your kind. |

Fitting a meta 10MN requires a micro aux power core, but once that's fitted, even moderate cap skills will let you perma-run the thing even without any recharge mods or rigs. After which the Atron will move like a bat out of hell, but won't turn worth a tinker's damn, even with I-stabs and low-friction nozzle joints.
You can slap some 75mm rails on it and make a wacky kiting fit, though. |

With all Vs, it's 100.35% PG, so you'll need an implant or meta level MAPC. With Tungsten, it's doing 38.6 (lol) dps at 13.6 + 5.63km. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
