So is the Russian language client's version of the starter tutorials bugged, or is weapon grouping just an affront against the honor of the motherland or something?

I laugh at your stupids.
I would gladly join a Russian corp only on the condition that they all speak English like this.

WELL
Eve is dominated by macros, which threaten to destroy eve since they have already wrecked in game economy, however Russians have been labelled with being the macro kings because they have been caught using them a number of times. But as for dominating the game.. I've run into Russians a number of times, they stick to their alliance space for the most part, sometimes turn up in t3 fleets like the boggy man in wormholes, but the whole 'Russian dominance' thing is just a stereotypical response.

I kinda like the idea of having to be wary of The Red Horde in Eve. It's like the Iron Curtain in the Cold War. It's not like their attitude towards the west has changed that much in reality, and I think it's kinda cool that it carries over slightly to Eve.

Are you implying anyone in the western world has given any other nation a reason to trust them in the last... ever?

When? Feeling a bit of drug induced optimism are we?
It may recover but not before 2/3rds of the continent has been sold off to foreign investors .. muahahaha.

Originally by: Ildryn Became a Russian game when CCP decided they would enact very little in the way of punishment for macroing and botting.
Russian RMT is big buisness. CCP refuses to get serious about it.
As we all know, RMT makes up 98% of russian economy
Actually that is not what is really going on. CCP tries to keep it a secret, but it doesn't take a genious to see what is really going on, if you just know where to look. Not many are aware of this, but CCP did in fact try to crack down on them. They were forced to stop at the request of the Icelandic government.
It appears, that as a retaliation to the CCP crackdown the Russian government threatened to call in all the loans they gave to Iceland during the financial meltdown. The russians demanded that CCP had to immediately cease all their actions against russian nationals and restore the account of someone with the username "the gray cardinal". I don't know what that account restoration was about or why the Russian government would get involved, but as long as they have that stranglehold on Iceland's ******* CCP isn't in a position to crack down on them.

People honestly arguing about being politically correct? Honestly?
While it may not be the exact meaning however this is the internet and it is easily associated with the term. Also racist against Russians is a lot easier to say/remember then xenophobia of Russians.

Has nothing to do with RMTing, or anything else.
The reason large parts of the East and South are under Russian control is entirely cultural. European and North Americans are mostly coddled from birth to grave, it makes them soft with a sense of entitlement. As such they aren't willing to work as hard for things. Russia underwent the fall of the USSR and severe economic troubles afterwards (though in the last decade things have improved greatly). As such they came out with a people with a strong work ethic in everything they did much like the US generation that came out of the Great Depression. They do have the same danger that has befell the USA as times improve and folks have to work less hard a sense of entitlement may emerge repeating the cycle of cultures/empires.

Locking this now, as thread has turned into IRL political/cultural discussion which is not permitted in EVE General.
