Is it possible to somehow remove the unwanted skills? When I first started playing I did not have a full understanding of the game. Therefore, the ability to take unnecessary, as it turned out later. Now they are very annoying. Are there really no way to get rid of them?
Thanks.

I do not understand why not give the players such an option? I think many will agree with me!

Eve celebrates consequences, including the vanity ones [imperfect skill sheet].

meaning in eve you make a mistake in your training no matter how much time it wasted or how ugly it looks on you skill sheet, your stuck with it until the end of your eve life, however long or short that may be. (already asked if theres a way to reset my full sp and all skills and id be willing to repay for all the skill books, they told me very politly to buzz off) Individualy reliable, Collectivly diciplned |

i recently petitioned to have 900 sp in industry, mining and corp managment removed together with the skills because they look ugly on an otherwise pure combat char of 2003. they dont do it.

what do you want to do with those "unwanted skills"? just remove? and what if you will find that you need it week after? or you want to transfer SPs from one skill to other?
And after all: give me please one example of "really annoying skill". i only can imagine something like "repairing systems" which makes you less cap-stable but you need this skill for other skills and items.

I suggested the ability to respend skill points by paying CCP cash, instead of buying skill points with cash. Would you spend $15 to get 1M SP back? <this end up> |

I don't get this xD More skills, means your toon can do more. Even if you have skills that you're not taking advantage of at the moment or even ever, at least you can tell people you can do it. For example i'm mostly a combat character. However i have a small amount of sp dedicated to mining - enough to be able to use and fly a hulk well. Hulk is pretty much the most popular mining vessel ingame. Even though i won't mine that often, i can still be confident in telling others that i can fly a hulk.

How would this, in any way, make the game better? Nobody can see your SP anyways.
I'd wear those misspent skill points with pride, rub them in peoples faces.
"You just got popped by a character with 375k SP in INDUSTRY SON!"
No transferring/removal/purchasing/redistribution of SP ever, not even for $$$.

Do in corp poddings with a corpie or alt if dual boxing...much faster. that 2 minutes adds too much time. Quite a few times when blood cloning I'd ask someone in local to pop the pod. Alliance member, hostile, hell neut it didn't matter. Just wanted to be moved now lol.
for targetted sp lost...fly t3 and lose it. Limits it down to only 5 skills lol. 1/5 better than 1 out of 200
SP's are a permanent record, accept and move on (learning skills were a once in a lifetime deal). Skill might be useful one day, never know.
Lose the ocd...makes you do bad things in eve. Like learn pointless level 5's not worht the time put in them.

Perhaps the lack of opportunities to remove unnecessary skills makes sense. For example, if your account is stolen, an attacker can erase all the skills ... Nothing else comes to mind, to justify the lack of disposal options abilities. While this may not be the main reason why that support will not be difficult to return everything.
PS. Sorry for my English.

I think thats what Sader is on about. Having max lvl V on Amar combat skills and having 7sp (1%) on Indy.... OH NOES! 1% :P

Contrary to other games, stupidity is not rewarded. The next time you decide to level up a skill you should think long and hard. Shouldn't be difficult.

àon the other hand, unless you go for V, the time "lost" will be minimal yet still give you plenty of opportunity to think that, hey, maybe this isn't a skill I'll actually ever use. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

I just started playing and have a long term skill plan for a highly focused single race PvP character.
It does seem odd that i have been given 1415 SP in mining (lvl 2) that i dont want or need and never will.
It would be nice to be able to customize the skills at creation, in my case removing the unwanted industry skills.

I am like that. :) In the fulness of time I'll OCD myself into training FoF missiles V on an otherwise perfect missile sheet, simply because at some godforsaken time I thought FoF missiles were cool. And I have done so for other sections of my skill sheet, too. --

A little offtopic, but playing since beta I've always thought it asinine to of had to train those, without a skill que... 3am alarm clocks no more!
But on an ON-TOPIC matter- I'm thinking having more skills on the sheet may help divert PODDING SP losses from skills you care about.

Too bad m8, I trained indy to 5 and got into a retriever before i knew what was up. I grew smarter as the days passed by and didn't make that mistake during the sp reallocation thingy.
Some dude was raging on the forums a while ago after he poured about 4 mil sp into command ships and HACs only to find out that t3s fair better than both in some cases. CCP enjoyed every drop of tear he shed I bet they did.

Why would you want to remove them? There'd be no benefit. Maybe at some point in time they'll come in handy and you'd regret having deleted them if that were possible.

Doubtful, given that the disparity between the higher clone levels is many millions, you wouldn't really get a cheaper clone unless you had millions of SP in unnecessary skills. That being said, I think the only real unnecessary skills come from the older characters which were given arbitrary skills to start with, some of which do not apply to their career path.
