What are all of the skills that would allow you to scan out a wormhole really fast?
If you are level 5 in all scanning skills are you going to be able to scan a wormhole out faster than someone at 3? Is it worth training to level 5?
Are you going to be able to get most wormholes without having to go down to like 1AU scans or will you still have to get it down to .5 or 1AU scan to get 100% on the wormhole?

having lived in wormhole space with a moderate sized corp for over a year I can say that the most important thing is to be good at scanning - about all the skills do is control how far down the Scale you have to go. we had guys with IIIs across the board who could routinely beat players with Vs across the board because the guy with less 'skill' had more skill with the interface, or was flying a better ship, etc.
In our experience the best use of all level V was a) the certainty that you'd always get the lock eventually, and b) the flexibility to not have to take a dedicated scanning ship out every time you wanted to try to lock down a sig.
I have occasionally gotten lock at 1AU or higher in a dedicated scanning platform (covops) - it really depends on the wh category you're scanning out. my skills are mostly IVs.

As above, it is more scanning technique than skill. Our fastest scanner uses 4 probes and a tetrahedron probe layout, which I just find too much effort.
It is also really handy to have T3 probing ship with the Emergent Locus Analyzer subsystem and Interdiction Nullifier.

The absolute bare minimum would be astrometrics I. With that you can fit a probe launcher and launch three probes.

Correction - Astrometrics I allows you to launch four probes.
That is the bare minimum - good luck it will be a bit fiddly (even if you know what you are doing) to get a lock on a WH with such poor skills, but more importantly, its quite likely you would not have enough probe strength to get 100% lock for some WHs.
The Fast way - get astrometrics to I (four probes are popular) astrometrics rangefinding to III. If you don't fly a covops get into a T1 scanning frig and put a couple of small gravity capacitor upgrade I rigs. If you have the cash get some sister's probes they also help. All that should take just a few hours to train for.
If you decide to splurge more time on this astrometric pinpointing will help prevent the sigs from bouncing around too much and astrometrics V allows the operation of deep space scanner probes which are excellent. Of course a dedicated covops ship is also nice.

I just took a look at the Deep space probes, and I'm curious how different it is using those versus core probes. With the sensor strength only being 5, do you still have to scan down to the minimum scan distance to get locks?
