I've been playing for a year.
Now brace yourself, because you're going to laugh: I've never been able to make more than 5 million ISK during my entire time playing this game. Why? Other than the fact that I'm extremely lazy in doing missions on this game, my primary focus throughout my entire time (off and on every three, or so, months) was on training for Assault Ships and being able to fly a completely-fitted T2 Wolf - which I've done twice, and lost both because of my extreme incompetence and lack of understanding.
I'm not here to beg for ISK or a free ship. I'm simply asking for help. I want to understand this game, and learn how to make more than enough ISK to satisfy my needs in EVE Online. This can either be through inviting me into a helpful Corporation or personal correspondence. All I want is just some help from experienced players who will be willing to be generous enough to help a "newbie" in EVE. -----

And what kind of help are you looking for? Or better, what is your problem (beside being lazy)?

Without trying to sound like a smartass, if all you've done in a whole year is learn nothing and still not been able to make some sort of cash, why should someone else put in effort, effort you should have put in, to help you?
There's ofcourse far more to EVE than have "making isk" as a goal but one would expect a year old player to at least have some clue heh. Go here, Download it and read it, that's a good start.

There are many ways to earn ISK in EVE. I've tried so many of them that I've gotten to the point of wondering how people can't make ISK in EVE.
Have you read Akita T's Guide and tried a few for starters?

Since you have T2 Assault Frigate, fit up a salvager and go run the DED 2/10 Angel CreoCorp plexes. After doing that for a few weeks, you should have plenty of isk from salvage, loot and bountys.

Since you're lazy and have a bunch of gun skills:
Minmatar Cruiser 4 -> Minmatar Battleship 3 or 4
Missile Launcher Op 5 -> Torpedoes 4 -> Missile Bombardment 4 -> Missile Projection 4 -> Target Navigation Prediction (or whatever it is for missiles) 3 or 4 -> Rapid launch 4
Drones 5 + Scout drone ops 5 -> Gallente drone specialization 4 -> Drone interfacing 4 also heavy drones 4 or so
Step 2: Build a goddamned Typhoon, run L4 missions. If you have perfect T2 Wolf support skills you've got basically everything you need to tank and whatnot.
Step 3: Profit
(That was off the top of my head and Minmatar isn't my favorite race, so might not be perfect, but you get the idea.) ---

Not sure how much minutes per week you play EVE?
I just became 1 year old too and I think I must have made like 10-12 billion or more. You must be extremely lazy indeed as you can fly an AF within 2 months, what have you been doing during your 12 months of subscription if I may ask, hiding under a rock?
At least CCP makes money off you ...
There's a thread about fittings (ships & modules) and also missions and complexes get you good tips. What exactly did you lose your ship to? I've been flying Retributions and Jaguars a lot, it's not that easy to lose them. You should just start being less lazy and fly a Rifter in missions and see where it goes wrong and what goes right. EVE isn't that difficult .. ________________* - If you're in favour of a bloodline change please vote in the Assembly Hall in this thread - |

Over a year - with only about four to six months in between that were actually subscriptions. About two weeks, total, of actual playing time (this being running low-level missions and some PvP with Red Federation). The rest of my time was spent sitting in stations or just flying around while my training was going through. Or not playing at all while waiting for my training to finish. I probably only logged on for about two to four hours a day each day I was playing.
It's not to say that I mind harsh criticism, but this has gotten some hostile comments. I understand that it's just plain wrong for someone like me who's been "playing" a year (technically, just a few months) to not have over a billion ISK already, but lay off a little bit. -----

Well your OP basically said "I play a year, never made more than 5 mil, I'm too lazy for missions and I lost 2 AFs what must I do". What kind of reactions did you expect?

There are tons of way to make ISk in this game. It sounds to me like running missions isn't for you. Consider trying your hand at trading, manufacturing, exploration, salvaging other people's wrecks, piracy, invention, etc etc...
Check out Akita T's ISK making guide - it's a great place to start. ----------

I've been playing for about a year and a half and I've never managed to get anywhere near 1 bil. I've tried a bunch of things but have never gotten close.
So great to hear its not just me!
For basic isk, I suggest ninja salvage, rig making and exploration. All of the above are pretty easy to do and have decent returns.

Not everyone cares about making ISK in this game I've played for about 3 years with a break in between and I have so far spent 4,5bil in plexes and about 1,5bil at least in various skills books not to mention all the ships I've lost in PvP or by messing up the missions because I couldn't be arsed about clearing the right spawns in right order ...
But easy cash for a limited time is to find a good lvl 4 agent and do a mission or two in day, not because of ISK rewards but because of what you get from LP store, getting right connections skills is a must ofc. for farming LP's. PI also gives nice amount of cash for attention it requires provided you make POS fuel or other stuff has a high demand in market hubs. Making and selling rigs also yields a nice profit once you have a researched BPO and right skills for manufacturing/research.
There are many ways to make a some ISK (100mils) but making up a huge amounts of ISK a month (billions) is what requires skills and a quite a lot of setting up.

You've played EVE for a year and you still don't understand the game? Perhaps this is not the game for you then.
Quote: and learn how to make more than enough ISK to satisfy my needs in EVE Online.
Stop being lazy and read up on the excellent guides that are available to everyone for free. Nothing is being served on a silver platter in EVE, you need to figure things out yourself.
That is one of the important aspects of understanding the game and I'm sharing that with you for free.
