When can we expect a fix for the recently introduced bug "Fleet window grows each time you make the fleet window convert into fleet mode (ie, when you join a fleet, the window grows by a inch upwards)"

when opening PI on Planets you find a white Box where your command centre / rocket pad should be. so now i am unable to enter my command/storage-rocket pad

Does this problem still occur after rebooting the client? Is it affecting all of your colonies? Have you tried clearing the cache?

Kind-of-confirming this.
They (needlessly) increased the asset window minimum width in one of the Apocrypha patches (iirc), and that increase was thoroughly pointless and broke my window layout. This patch increases is further ù still as needlessly, and just like then without any reason or warning ù and breaks it even further. It would be very nice if they didn't just fix the bug with the current width, but the old one as well. The minimum width of the asset window should be roughly 1/3û1/2 of what it is now.

I am still getting ! icons in some of my ship windows for certain kinds of ships. I also dont get any thruster effects on my ships although I can see them on others.

An old issue - namely of the screen darkening when alt-tabbing or when closing the client after having alt tabbed persists. I manage to address the issue by opening a new client and then closing it again, but it is a pain when I do stuff in Windows whilst having an EVE client open.

yea its a nasty problem, but ive use some workaround playing game in window mode ( Fixed Window ).

I'm agree with the people complaining about Assets window width - it takes almost one third of screen width at 1650x1080 resolution what is a plain wrong.

The damage reported in kill mails has been seriously bugged for years despite CCP claiming to have fixed the problem several patches ago. Do not hold your breath on this one.

runtime error: r6034 loading the C runtime library incorrectly. wine 1.13.13. This was working just fine last patch. Changed something again eh?

Found a new bug since Incursion 1.2 :
When in planet mode and having a route set, next system in route will show up with wierd attributes : - Name and security status number color are correct. - Security status value (number) will be the same as destination value.
Grab your guns for industrials interception !

Saw that as well. (FB). Just posted in the linux section that this happened 2 patches ago, and magically sorted itself after a few hours. (Last patch was smooth from the download/repair/update angle. Gonna crash and try again this evening.

EVEmon has recently moved to .NET Framework 4. Are you sure you are running the most up to date version?
EVEmon also have their own forums at Battleclinic so you may get the answer you need here.

From looking at the Evemon forum it is indeed a bug with the new version, just thought it was on your end cause I installed the newest Evemon version yesterday and it was working correctly till downtime today.

As with all incursion patches the auto-patcher fails to run. 2 error messages are given, first a modal dialogue: Eve Online Update 224393->229669 Setup
Applying the patch has failed, do you wish to launch the repair tool and have it attempt to fix the broken client?
If cancelling the repair job another error message is given in the original dialogue window: Download failed with the following error: IBackgroundCopyManager::CreateJob
Running on Windows 7 as administrator user.

Left-clicking anywhere on the fleet window (outside of the actual fleet display / buttons / dropdown menus) now acts the same as right-clicking for me. This leads to horrible confusion and accidentally closing the window all the time.

Nope that 3.17 repair.exe u linked hasn't worked either (at least that one ran tho - which is more than 3.18 or even the pre-existing one in Eve directory did).
Repair 3.17 went through the file checksumming, then it just got stuck on downloadin the "rollup" data, and refused to dowload anything, or even close down on cancel..
The 1001'th papercut, for me, is this dumb "the {..}.7z is broken", and repair tool that subsequently fails - there's obviously issues with the Rar/7z extractor somewhere that really need to get fixed.
Downloading the full install in frustration now.

That's exactly what I'm trying to get to the bottom of; we make the payload on our build farm in London, and they're uploaded to our Content Delivery partner, and then we test them before saying "sure, go ahead and release to the public". We've validated their consistency before we've gone ahead with this release, so I really don't understand how you're getting corrupted data of one sort or another.

I ran into this on one of my two machines. The first patched with no trouble, but the second kept giving checksum errors and the repair tool wouldn't run either. I poked around in the cache directory, and the evepremiumpatch224393-229669.exe it had download was bit-identical to the one that had been downloaded on the happily-patched machine, so it seems like this checksum error is somehow being introduced post-download?
I was about to give up and download the full install, but I thought I'd give the manual patch a try first (the repair tool's error message provided a link). I deleted the evepremiumpatch...exe file from the cache directory, and downloaded the manual version (which appears to be the same filename except for a "_m"?) This approach worked smoothly and I'm now up and running on both machines.
If it matters, the machine that had no trouble was a 32-bit XPSP3 machine, and the one that had trouble was a Ubuntu 10.10 machine running Wine 1.2.

@CCP Atropos, Well, I don't really know how/why it's happening either :( Every patch I have downloaded for a long time now has been giving this "...7z is broken so download the repair tool, most times the repair tool kicks in okay, and resolves the problem, this time not. To my "used-to-dev-thigs(lol) spider-sense" it seems to be a problem with the rar/7zip extractor code causing the "is broken" part of the equation. I did re-download the manual patch twice, same result. Not sure if it's to do with the 64bit windoze environment, or not? Gut-feeling: the 7zip compatibility is where I'd look first tho. Some have suggested it might be due to low disk space, tho my C: has 42GB free, and about 20GB on R: so I don't think thats the issue with an 11MB patch.
The last time the repair tool freaked out on me was with a dodgy build that had the paths set as the temp folder, even tho the repair was running from the eve directory, this time it was trying to access a file in the dev build tree, not in my temp folders, or R:\Eve (install location).
Downloading the full install now, not sure what I could do really to help troubleshoot the issue with you? |

I have no problems whatsoever with my client or its graphics, or .. well, no more than usual that is, but I also know a lil programming and have an autistic sense of mathematically patterned order, and from the complexity of Eve itself and the manner in which it's being utilized by its users, I have simply observed that you guys at CCP are doing a DAMN Good Job! :)
This time however. My gameplay is being disrupted severely. None of the keys are working. No shift, no ctrl, no nothing. Not even escape works so i couldn't even check if all my shortcuts had simply been messed up, so.. Houston, We have a Problem. ;)
I have 3 clients installed in different directories on one drive. All were patched today and all of them retain the problem. I have windows XP (the last waypoint in non-unix based possible human control over the computer world) installed. Tried the repair tool but no change.
Any ideas?

Update: couldn't get Evemon to work again, however Eve HQ has no trouble with the api at all.
There is no problem with EVEMon nor with CCP's API server. My EVEMon can connect to API via SSL just fine. Problem probably caused by network provider. Visit EVEMon forum to get informed on a workaround.

Actually it looks like it's an issue with the HTTPS API connection. Specifically when going to the ServerStatus API(https://api.eveonline.com/server/ServerStatus.xml.aspx or https://api.eve-online.com/server/ServerStatus.xml.aspx) in chrome I get an SSL protocol error (Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.) I have done this from multiple machines on multiple networks/ISPs. The non SSL URl works beautifully though. The issue with EVEMon vs EVEHq (mentioned later in this thread as working) is that it's not falling back to the non-ssl website.

Transition periods are wonderful things :)
I used that workaround already and am able to access my API, my preferred proxy however is not :/ An actual fix however would be nice and requires information for CCP to work off of. Hence the attempt to provide as much detailed, relevant info as possible. I can do a packet capture if that would be useful (CCP?)

Killmails are not showing Total Damage, just the last volley.

Those trying to hack an account can get the correct capitalization for any character name by using the in-game search or out-of-game API. Requiring the character name challenge to be case sensitive will do nothing to add security.
Is the characterID lookup API going to be made case sensitive as well? What about the in-game characters search?

I just updated forcebly to the new client. Immediatly it told me to restart my pc to enjoy the possibility to play EVE. After rebooting it told me to run repair because there seems to be a priblem. Repair fails with no error and thats it. Eve gone. No Enjoy just frustration.

That's exactly what I'm trying to get to the bottom of; we make the payload on our build farm in London, and they're uploaded to our Content Delivery partner, and then we test them before saying "sure, go ahead and release to the public". We've validated their consistency before we've gone ahead with this release, so I really don't understand how you're getting corrupted data of one sort or another.
@CCP Atropos Got exactly the same issue, patch installs, something goes wrong, tells me to run repair, I try that and it fails, tried the link you quoted to redownload repair tool - that's broken.
Luckily manual download of patch works and eve now started.
Never had this issue until release before this one (or may have been one before that), but in that case repair worked.
Need anything from me that will help you debug this, drop me a mail

Update wouldn't come up the first few times i started client. Then it worked and i got into game fine. I turned it off for a while and now when i try and get on it says the server status is "Unknown".

Some nice new fixes in this patch.
However I ran across a minor bug just now.
If you drag and drop items to a secure container (with the container not being open), your items will be locked, even if the container has been set to being unlocked. If you drag and drop like you used to (IE, container being open), it works just fine.

Am I the only one who can't enter the new character creator to make a new portrait? I've tried deleting the cache files and reloading the client without luck. I'm getting jealous of everyone else. Any advice will be welcome.
Also, it would be nice to see no more "!" icons.

There were always a lot of buggy killmails which is bad enough. Now they are ALL bugged. Our corp just got three kills and the mails are all crap.
The patch is nice but apparently also ignores another major bug: The messed up wormhole-spawning.

EVEmon has recently moved to .NET Framework 4. Are you sure you are running the most up to date version?
EVEmon also have their own forums at Battleclinic so you may get the answer you need here.
From looking at the Evemon forum it is indeed a bug with the new version, just thought it was on your end cause I installed the newest Evemon version yesterday and it was working correctly till downtime today.
Update: couldn't get Evemon to work again, however Eve HQ has no trouble with the api at all.
This was on our end, one of the EVE API webservers was acting up.

All kills I've had today have had really low damage numbers (multiple Bcs reporting ~1000 damage taken on killmail, abaddon reporting 1200 damage taken).
There was no jumping wierdness, or anything. No lag, highsec, straight up fight, ships explode, and damage numbers are really low on the mails, completly inaccurate.

Having an initial issue, I am trying to see if its a local problem, but upon opening the client, it does not bring up a popup to download the latest version.
I attempted the links within this topic for the repair tool, they too give an error.

Even the latest Updater has Problems with big GPT-Partition. I checked all Folderrights and so on but I think it's the size.
Currently I'm only able to patch via Repair Tool (firstly got the error on page 1 but the latest Version Download postet there fixes it and I was able to patch).

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with all the latest patches UAC is disabled. Runnning as Administrator the same. Also disabling Antivirus (avast Free 5.1.889) doesn't help.

The portrait capture feature makes the wrong size screenshot, it is 512x512 just like the server side portraits. The old captures were 1024x1024 and would as such be useful.

Autopatcher still borked, but saying no to all it "fails" and gives the link to the full patch. Downloaded that, and no issues patching at all. (And on my connection the full patch takes the same amount of time to download and start as the silly autopatcher.
Just an fyi for wine 1.13.13 and linux.

I dont use that to switch between 2 clients - i use the variable window they gives us few months ago and position them 1 cm off - i switch to the other client by simply cliking on that one cm i see of the other window - it works well

Hey,
Bookmarks on objects within jump range accessed via the right-click context menu now provide a menu including "warp to" and "warp to range" instead of approach. If you select warp to, nothing happens.
Previously accessing a bookmark to an object within jump range yielded to option to "approach".
This in on a PC.

Im running on a mac and every time I hit log out of my account at the esc sreen, the client multiplies into like 4 different clients and it overruns my computer. I try to hit esc-quit game but by the time I know whats happening, my computer is so clogged up that I cant hit anything and have to manually "pull the plug"

No, W7 x64 is ok. I run eve on that (and on Xp 32bit). Both have run all the incursion patches correctly. No, checksumming should not vary, they would be pretty useless if they did. Checksum algorithms are strictly defined, as is they use of them in archive formats, TCP headers, etc. E.g. CRC32, MD5, SHA.
What you can possibly do to help troubleshoot: If you still have (or can get) the patch files that are giving you problems, then: Post the name and size of the files, and their checksums. E.g. compress with winrar and look at what CRC it has.
This will help CCP identify exactly which file you got (and whether is it corrupted) and where/how you might have got it.

Maybe, while you're at it, fix them thoroughly so we get no more missing ship types and weapons and unreliable stats. PvP is also a competition for many and a killboard isn't worth much if half of the data is bogus.

Quick Question regarding one of the Patch Notes pasted below; does that include Remote Sensor Boosters (RSB)? Will someone who has an Alt for RSB goes global, will that RSB alt go GCC?
NPC: It is no longer possible to lose a ship to CONCORD by only using logistic modules (like remote armor repairer, shield transporter, energy transfer array, ...) or logistic drones. They cannot be activated in high-sec on targets with Global Criminal Countdown (GCC) or outlaws and they will be deactivated if the target gets GCC while being assisted.

Playing with everything on low settings and weirdly, my ship thumbnails and some icons in the fitting screen are really low quality (like, streched 16x16 picture quality). They're blurry and ugly. Never ever experienced this before even with everything set to low.
Also, resetting the cache does not help.

i myself cannot log into eve gate anymore - keeps showing the input fields for username and pass (error messages show when i input wrong password as usual)
hope its not the same problem as the password-change showed.. back then it only worked with windows based firefox and the same ff version on linux did not work :s

New Issues:
- Dropping items into containers defaults them to locked instead of per container config.
Issues still present from Incursion 1.0:
- Drone window still redraws and forgets what groups were maximized when launching all drones in the bay.
- Ctrl-click on overview still fails to target items until ctrl key is released and re-pressed if ctrl-clicking when EVE window is not the windows focus. (alt-tabbed into a browser for instance)
Issue randomly cropping up:
- Client seems to forget that I had the scan window open and closes it now every time I undock. Cleared this up once with a clear-cache but it has resurfaced. Not sure how to reproduce the cause yet. ___________________________________

I was happy to see the new feature allowing remote deletion of jump clones. So, I tried to destroy one (stored in a rorqual clone vat bay of a character I am no longer in alliance with) and it didn't work. There was no error message, the jump clone simply wasn't destroyed.

I seem to be having issues with ship pictures not displaying in ships hanger or when targeting, im getting some pictures show fine and some just give me a black screen with a white exclamation point. Makes it difficult to follow targets and to pick ships in hanger quickly.

I experienced an issue after I jumped from an implanted clone into an un-implanted one last night - I wasn't able to view anything in my character sheet anymore - all the divisions where there, skills, certs, attributes, etc - but no actual content.
As a result I couldn't restart my skill training (and only remembered just now that it's still paused - D'OH!). The content pane basically held onto the old screen and when I closed and reopened the character sheet the content pane was completely blank.
Everything else seemed to be working fine.

After the patch got into a fight where a fleet mate was using F.O.F. missiles. The missiles targeted everyone including friendly drones (corp-mates and in-fleet-mates), corp mates (in and out of fleet), as well as in-fleet ships too.
Have been using F.O.F. missiles for some time without friendly ships getting hit. Luckily no losses (except for a few drones).
F.O.F. should NOT target corp or fleet members or friendly drones.

Have to say that the new contracts search is a vast improvement over the other. Each addition is adding very useful features and the latest iteration with the most recent patch has some really nice options for finding contracts of a particular type, within a particular region, etc.
Just one thing. Since you have removed the sort options from the side menu it seems that the sorting has reverted back to the way that the old search would sort things. I often sort contracts by price when I'm browsing for blueprints, either to see if any BPO's are going cheap or see what the current going rate for BPC's may be.
Until today when I told the search to sort by price it sorted them correctly in that the most/least expensive would be on the first page of results and each page would show prices reducing/increasing until the last page showed the highest/lowest priced items in the results list. Today I make a search and this has returned to the way the old search handled results, with each page only being sorted by price, not the full results set returned in the search. So I once again find myself going page by page seeing results which should have appeared in the first page or two appearing at the top of each page of results. If I sort by price descending I expect the most expensive items in the search to be shown on the very first page with the prices decreasing as I move to subsequent pages, not each page having it's own sorting of the results to show the most expensive at the top and least at the bottom.
Would it be possible to change it back to pre patch sorting, it worked great then. Apart from that little point the new contracts search is spot on. Oh, and please hurry up with the new forums, these old ones are really getting annoying when they log me out at random and refuse to let me log back in for 20 minutes. ------------------------------------------------ Quafe is people! |

My update didn't went through because of a broken archive (or something similar, don't remember exactly). It offered the repair option, but it gave the "c:\build\chaos" error. Tried to reinstall from an older downloaded installer "EVE_Premium_Setup_214371_m.exe" to update it again, but during extraction gave an "archive corrupted" error. After that I downloaded the newest version "EVE_Premium_Setup_229669_m.exe" (at least it was the newest ~36hrs ago). It gave the same exact "archive corrupted" error. After that I tried the "online installer" through the "EVE_Premium_Setup_229669.exe" file. The download went through and it was in the file validation step when I left the pc. When I returned there was another error message with installer stopped and needs to run the repair. The repair started up, started working and at a point it gave the "archive corrupted" error again. Using an updated 32bit WinXP. Now I'm without a client and can't install any version to try and update manually.

Newest problems to add to my still unaddressed list of bugs ("issues"):
-ASSETS window is stuck with a minimum width. Terrible change not mentioned in patch notes. -Windows are definitely not remembering their opening sizes - much against what patch notes did state would be "fixed". -Distance to warp collapse actually started counting up while reaching destination. (Occured in Jakanerva this evening.) -Cargo capacity maximums are listed as 0.0m3 in other ship cargoholds if open and you are not in that specific ship. (Makes moving items between various ship cargoholds difficult if not impossible.) -Planetary Interaction usually has a single resource being constantly scanned (the circle arrow icon just goes and goes....) -Text composer UI for Corporation Info is unable to AUTOLINK, because it thinks your selection is 10 characters to the right of your selection. -Shift-dragging items into trade windows is not allowing "splitting". -Ironicly, sometimes "stack all" isn't stacking all (yes, even after checking to make sure all items were unlocked). -Cargo calculations in boarded ships are returning occasional wrong warning numbers that defy actual free space available. -Skills training during the upgrade fix Thursday (UTC) seems to have ADDED more time (more than just 3 hours during the upgrade duration) spending extra, unnecessary training time.
Still unfixed/unaddressed problems:
-TRADE window remains in background constantly - similar to P.I. windows that get overlapped by other windows. -Warping to Customs Offices will place you in the middle of the office, then "bounce" you out and away. Happens 90% of all times. -Most planets in planetary view mode are terribly sliced up (graphical errors). Obvious 3D rendering error in the program code for texture wrapping/mapping. (Most noticable are Plasma planets with obscure segmentation in surface color by straight intersecting lines ... Gas planets [usually beige ones] have a pure black pixelation between the top/bottom "thirds" of the sphere and the middle "third".) -Charon is warping at 0.70 AU when it should be 0.75 AU... still. (last 2 decimal digits never change during flight) -Mail composer still messes up mostly if using the DELETE key instead of BACKSPACE in the middle of letter. -Major screen flicker (epileptic-like full screen white flashes/"blankings") occur for some accasional systems' stars, unless view angle is adjusted. Certain systems always have it, example: Abagawa in The Forge. -While IN GAME, all OTHER people's small portraits in chat windows appear smooth (anti-aliased), but my own is terribly bitmapped...still. -Planetary amounts are still off at times, mathematically. Routing sometimes simply isn't working "smartly". -When typing in one place (a chat window or composing a mail), sometimes my typing will suddenly continue in a different chat window.
Lastly (for now):
-MAILING LIST ISSUE (BUG): I have a mailing list for a higher security level group in my corporation. When I go to send a mail to that group, it first pointlessly brings up a warning/info box stating: "You are a member of a mailing list with the name Bloodstone Lead Staff. Do you wish to send a mail to the mailing list?" Gee, I think the right-clicking and selecting "Send Mail To Mailing List" answered that question. But fine: I click "yes" to confirm. THEN THE BUG BEGINS: If you start typing, and click off to take care of something and return to it, it will ask you that question again.... and again... IF YOU ARE LUCKY, you will be able to post it. If not, it says this: "There is no recipient for this message, please add some by typing their name or by dragging one or more from your addressbook or any userlist." NO RECIPIENT FOR THIS MESSAGE? It clearly has the correct recipient [ML] in the "To:" section. Only way to get a mail through is to never click off the composer.
That's it so far on the major issues... I hope.

this is about the new character creation. i set 2 of my alt characters up but not my main except the first time. now its changed i can't update the alts i have but can still do my main as it wasn't done sense first time you needed to redo them. i was wondering if i am stuck with the pictures even though you did say it changed again, but i seen in patch notes that you could go without a shirt if you had a coat so want to change my alts,but it didn't say anything about having a chance for a new character picture? i read 2 other forum questions about this but no answer yet. this is a late question but haven't been on sense last nigh and before patch. didn't have any problems though with anything else but i am still in delivery mode and haven't done more missions or wh combat yet. just wanting to redo my characters if that's still a option now you changed it again, in fact i liked the fact you changed that option often as its good to be able to redo characters pictures and wish you could make it so we could at a whim as the names don't change it's not like a new person just a new look. (like women like to do all the time HEHE) glad for the new patch and everyone knows enough to expect problems when you do new stuff its the only way to fix them right..... thanks for your time

This is a new issue for me:
I have 1400mm T2 turrets with auto-cycle firing, stacked with 2 turrets per stack. Normally the white line on the outside of the icon runs around the outside to indicate when the cycle is done.
However, now, when I see an NPC ship blow up during a mission, I look at the turret icons and some of then will have solid white lines around them. The cycle is not done. I wait a few seconds, the solid white line disappears, and the turret is then available to shoot the next target. Meanwhile, I have no visual feedback on how long it will be until I can fire again.

It's amazing how "accustomed" we get to irritating things like that, but to confirm: I TOO EXPERIENCE this. (Most noticable while in a long warp.) In fact I have experienced this phenomena since last year before Incursions. I almost want to say it was "sporadic" through Dominion, and quite possibly something that started before that upgrade.

It looks like wormholes in the EOL state now possibly no longer collapse naturally when a ship remains on-grid. This issue has happened to me, a colleague, and the colleague reports other capsuleers reporting it in a game channel.
In my case, I was monitoring the EOL wormhole with probes out, and the new static spawned, reported by my probes and confirmed by warping there, whilst the wobbly wormhole persisted.

If someone would like a new thread started about this, please let me know. The good news ... After some research and graphics adjustment I have found a "workaround" for this. I'm delighted!
Two points need to be made here:
1. A feature called Vertical Sync (a.k.a. Vsync) all but completely eliminated this problem for me. Vertical Sync is a graphics card feature that waits until each frame in a Direct3D application is synchronized with your monitors refresh rate. I know I'm not stating it exactly right, but that's not the point here.
2. Vsync will cost you about 50% of your FPS. Which would you rather have 150 choppy frames or 75 smooth ones? I opted for the 75 smooth and let me tell you, it's worth it every day of the week. Looking again at my FPS monitor, I see every so often an great while a small blip of lower FPS, but the drop is extremely quick. I do not have the means (nor the time) to try to extract the FPS Monitor screenshot.
Therefore, if you are having this issue, or if you did not even notice you where having this problem, have a look.
Another important point. Those of you who like to tweak your graphics cards (basically all of you), should know that Nvidia and ATI have a feature called "Max Frames Rendered" (Nvidia) and "Flip Queu Size" (ATI). These parameters are one and the same. This variable allows a Direct3D application to "pre" render frames. Let's just say it's not good for the type of game we're playing here. When you pre-render, you're basically putting yourself behind the 8-ball. Every extra frame you pre-render will set you back from real-time. So, setting this to a lower value will allow your inputs to be transmitted faster.
If this does not jive right with someone, let me know, but I'm pretty sure I'm on the ball here.
To make a long story short, action I take using the keyboard and mouse are responding faster and the visual lag is gone, now if I could only convince CCP to fix the rest of the game!! (kidding, ofc :)

New Contracts search:
Some search criteria appear to be OR instead of AND logic. For example, when I search for "Hobgoblin II Blueprint" and select Blueprint Original as Type, I (also) get multiple item contracts containing Hobgoblin II bpc plus any kind of blueprint originals.

Character Creator still doesn't work for me on either of my computers, both of which are completely up-to-date (drivers, DirectX, etc), the "workaround" does not work for me, one computer meets minimum sys reqs, the other far exceeds them, and I'm getting tired of waiting for this issue to be addressed.
CCP: Is this issue going to be addressed? Seriously. You guys have been quiet about this. Either say "Yes, we plan on having it fixed soon" or "No, we don't think it's a consequential issue".

This bug, or exploit is STILL present and needs to be corrected.
Deep wspace corps are presently exploiting this bug to spawn large ammount of copies of their static WH for PVE, PVP and easy logistics. I filed petition for this more than a month ago & was told it was forwarded to devs.
Any update on this?
Many players are lining their pockets with isks and killboards by abusing this bug

the auto-dropping "into-containers" is annoying as all hell..
either KILL the feature (revert) or make an option for us to TURN IT OFF..
why? because half the time i can't even see what my mouse is pointing over because of windows overlapping.. and they ain't remembering how to re-open up every new time i log in.. so sometimes even the TAB we're supposed to be dropping onto/into isn't visible.. this is all just causing more complication and irritation..
also, eve broke an hour ago and i keep getting invalid packet/page call errors.. if i can't access my wallet or switch ships, why bother playing tonight? even though we're paying to play..

yea i just activated my free days and tried to use character creation after first getting a broken updat patch...aparently it was fixed but no trying to use character creation...and it doesnt work...stays on entering character creation screen loading part...and then when i try do something else it completly laggs up my system

Systematic crash upon entering character selection. Running Windows XP SP3 Tried different folders, drivers, graphic cards. Tried to repair, reinstalled vcredist_x86. You name it, i tried it.
This is what i get from CCP Log Server:
TriDDSHandler: 'res:/Texture/Sprite/Fluorecent.dds' in unsupported format (D3DFMT_P8)
Texture 'res:/Texture/Sprite/Fluorecent.dds' needs format conversion
TriDDSHandler failed to load texture 'res:/Texture/Sprite/Fluorecent.dds' - retrying with D3DX functions
Now that's 4 days without being able to play, opened a petition 4 days ago, you think it'd be top priority since it prevents people from playing, yet no response yet. Several people with the same issues, all their petitions unanswered for days as well.
All these people have different OS & hardware, problem is on CCP's end.
Config: Q9550, 3.25 go ram (xp ftw), HD5770 x2. Mounted on an asus P5Q Pro Turbo.
Pay & don't play, basically.

Dropping an item stack on a container should behave the same way as dropping in an open container window.
If the stack would exceed available storage, I would like to see a "set quantity" dialog pop up, instead of an error.
If container available space can't hold any single item from the stack, then an error message is acceptable. |

- Now the mail seems to have lost its memory just like the windows themselves. Ever since a corporate mail I posted just prior to DT for your latest patch keeps showing itself as NEW and UNREAD ... EVERY time I log in now. It's behavior is just the same as the windows for containers that I resize. Their resized memory lasts only as long as my session. Once client is closed, EVE gets amnesia... only now with read mail.

No clue what is causing it, but my ship is "sometimes" (all the time, really) beginning to move of its own accord.
It aligns to completely random places, without my mouse even hovering over space, sometimes without my hand on the mouse or typing anything. As far as I can tell, there is nothing at all I could have done to make the ship move. It also changes alignment at random. I tell it to align to a gate, do absolutely nothing, check back and see it's a few degrees off (or going in another direction altogether).
Would be very interested to hear if I'm the only one getting this, because slowly but surely I'm going nuts.

Problem is that at the login screen, keeps saying "server status unknown". Also the "news", "support" and "patch info" all saying "url error" so I think that my client can't connect on the internet properly..

Problem Solved.
The problem found to be in my firewall (zonealarm). Seemed that, for some strange reason, it didn't permit the new client to connect on the internet. Reinstalled it, and it's all fine.

overview bug: blues can show as neutral, have seen 1 case of -5. it seems to be worse than usual in large fleet fights with more than 1 blue fleet present.
i'm sure you're aware of this issue already as it is nothing new. however, i still think it's relevant and deserves some attention.

I still have continuous client lag outs.
It happens many times a day. I could have 3 clients open at the same time, and only 1 will lag out, or sometimes 2. Haven't ever had all my clients lag out all at the same time.
I have tried, repair.exe, doing a fresh install, made sure all my drivers are up to date (video, network, everything). I have made sure my router firmware is up to date and have a program monitoring the connection. No drop in connections have been detected.
I have also tested this at 2 other locations (friends home and parents home). I get the same problem at both locations. Thought it could be ISP, but they each have a different ISP. On top of that I have a very quick fiber connection.
I get this problem no matter how many clients are open. it coule be just 1 client or multiple. I monitor my tempatures and know that isn't the problem. I play on a laptop, but the other 2 machines are custom built and very closely monitored and maintained. Bottom line, I have been able to eliminate everything from the equation BUT the game/server.
A few corp mates of mine have the same problem as well. Is this a known issue to CCP? Is there something that I can do to help this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i can't mine, mission, or pvp at all right now because of these random DC's.

This is hardly an Incursion issue, as it's been well-known since the release of Empyrean Age in 2008 and CCP has done absolutely nothing about it since that time, so I'm putting it here:
1. Members of a militia with a high faction standing with their enemy are not fired upon by Navy NPCs.
2. Members of a militia not "directly" opposed to the owner of a plex they are capturing (i.e. Amarr for Gallente, Caldari for Minmatar, etc.) do not lose standing for capturing it.
3. Members of a militia not "directly" opposed to the owner of a plex they are capturing do not trigger reinforcement spawns.
4. Taken together, this allows specially-groomed alts to capture plexes in enemy territory with impunity.

Running PC eve client
Noticed in PI that I am able to create multiple routs to the same facility, and if I have multiple routs running to the same factory. That factory will eat all the resources sent to it.
IE. If I have 3 routs of heavy metal sent (40 units each) to an advanced industrial facility. That advanced industrial facility will eat 120 units of heavy metal. (4o units by 3 routs)
Not sure if this is a bug or is intended, either way I just need to change the routs to the factory so that there are only 1 input of each resource.

8/3/2011 after 1.2.3 patch.
An issue with patching has been annoying the hell out of me for ages - and I get caught out every time.
I have three separate installations of EvE in three separate directories for the live server. ( I also have another three for the test server).
Typically I fire up my first account in the first instance, apply the patch, start the game, set up a fleet, check a few quick things, undock and start doing something.
Then I start up my second character in the second instance, apply the patch, not dowloading the patch if I remembered to uncheck the "tidy up" box first time around. Then I start the game and try to switch to my first active account to invite the second into the fleet - only it isn't there because the stupid online updater closes all running instances of EvE client instead of having the built in wit to only close the current unpatched version.
At this point a little cursing happens, then I log onto the the third account in the third instance, do the necessary, then when done log in to the other accounts and set things up again for my play session.

We need a feedback thread for Incursion 1.3
Can't deliver to a member's hangar from corp deliveries unless you have rented an office at that station. That is not how it used to be and it is a huge pain if you use corp wallet or corp contracts.

CCP's patch notes are consistently hit or miss, depending on the patch (and probably the project manager / author involved). This particular patch's notes look to be only partially complete as we all know that for every blogged change, five more are sneaked in under the radar.
"Change Control" and CCP have not yet formally met.

^ This ^ = Big Issue. We do alot of buying through the corporate account out of Jita but don't maintain an office there. Need to be able to deliver goods directly to corp members, as it was before I-1.3.

Since I can't find a 1.3 post, I guess I'll put this here.
Since 1.3, I'm no longer able to use the "Corporation Assets Search" window to submit an invention job at a corp POS (BPC at station in the same system). It hangs at 'calculating quote'.
I can submit the same job (same settings) using the 'corp hangar' window, so I'm guessing it's something with the new inventory stuff and the corp asset search window not interacting right. |

Ok. So I have clone on a Rorqual that is not logged in. I tried destroying the clone. I got the confirmation message, i.e. "are you sure?" and clicked ok, but nothing happened, nor did I get a message saying it was prohibited because Rorq not logged in or undocked or whatever. That looks like something someone missed--I guess the design is that we can't destroy it if we can't jump to it, althought it would be nice if we could

Another issue for 1.3 (no thread), PC version - while I noticed that the assets list opens faster since the last patch (thanks!), it occasionally fails to update after docking/jumping:
Symptoms: I often have the regional assets list opened, with several station assets "expanded" (I want to pick up my stuff from there). No upon docking/jumping, sometimes the list becomes completely empty, and no switching the tab (All items, regional, constellation etc) does show anything. Only closing and re-opening the assets list gets it to work again - which is tedious if you consider I had checked 50 systems before that, to identify the 5 systems I want to pick up items from. The error will usually show up upon the next docking/jumping again.
Sometimes it helps to restart the client to get rid of it for some time, but that isn't really a solution.
Please fix that - and, while you're at it - there is still the issue of the "Ships" tab opened on the right hand upon docking at a station, rather than the "Items" tab, which was different a few patches ago when people had selected "Merge 'Items' and 'Ships' into station panel" option. Please help that, too!

Problem with 1.3, as others have said there is no thread for 1.3.
Under the old system, if you had a hangar full of stuff all neatly piled up and sorted by whatever, and you added a load of other stuff to the hangar and then did a Stack All, all the new stuff would be stacked on top of the old stuff and anything which didn't have an existing pile would be left at the bottom. This was very useful for sorting loot and things like that. Now when you do a Stack All, some of the new stuff will stack on the old stuff, but some of the old stuff will stack on the new. So it no longer leaves stuff at the bottom that didn't already have an existing pile in the hangar.
Here's an example, say I have 2 hangars, one full of ammo, drones and Meta level 1 mods, the other full of mods of Meta level 2 or higher. I have a hold full of loot.
Under the old system I could drag all the loot into the first hangar and do a Stack All and any loot which matched an item already in the hangar would stack on top of it. So then I grab all the piles at the bottom that haven't moved and drop them in the 2nd hangar and Stack All. Now I am just left with items that didn't match existing piles in either hangar and that's all I have to manually sort.
Under the new system, when I do the first Stack All, whilst some of the loot will move up to stack on existing piles, some of the existing piles will move down to stack on the new items. I can no longer just grab the items at the bottom, because some of them could belong in that hangar.
Please can you reinstate the old behaviour.
Also, I agree about the fact we now can't deliver to a corpmate's hangar where we don't have an office as being a real problem.

I would like to add to this that drag and drop functionality is now impaired for me. When I do "sort by type" in a ship's cargohold and then select all -> drag and drop to hangar, the dragged items in the hangar hangar are no longer sorted by type, but in a random order. This makes sorting loot/assets in the fashion mentioned by Drahcir Nasom completely impossible.
No idea what was "fixed" there, but it sure is broke now.

I'm guessing this issue happened after the last patch since I do not recall it happening it before, but I set up buy orders across several systems and when I'm picking up the goods I have my assets open and the stations I want to visit expanded, and close them after picking up the materials. Well this system no longer is viable because after the third of fourth dock/undock the assets go blank so I have to reopen it and again figure out what stations I was going to, it's getting kind of annoying.

It seems there is something wrong with this new client patch, we are experiencing lag spikes while running incursions, also my client crashed for the first time in months.
Not sure it is related but just uninstalled it to see if it makes a difference. There are people who didn't install it and are reporting no issues at all.

Okay, so I noticed, my Hyperion and my Hulk are both about 500 m, from the Preview button on Show Info. The Hulk is actually 8 m longer.
However, in dock, switching between the two, you can see that the camera zooms in heavily for the Hulk, which appears much much smaller than the Hyperion.
The only thing I can figure for this is that the Hulk uses medium rigs and such, and perhaps the scaling functions inside the base go based on that instead of their listed actual dimensions. Or someone did bad math.
Anyways, wondering if anyone else has noticed this and has thoughts? |

OS X Client after latest patch: terrible
I get even more random CTDs, and now disaster crashes with "Socket was lost" and "Your pod has no cargo space wtf lol" random? popups, then another client spawns and I need to force shutdown because everything freezes.

After our last release we noticed that players wanted this so the ability to remotely destroy jump clones in capital ships will be included in our (Team BFF's) next release which is only a few weeks away.

Okay, just to give an easy way to reproduce the nice error I'm experiencing (v1.3, PC version)- try having the "Personal Assets" open, with a station in your current system "expanded" (I always use "Region" view, dunno if that's relevant).
Now dock/undock at/from that station - in 7/10 cases the assets window is empty after that, and doesn't update any longer until I close and re-open it again.
Please try to fix that, it is really not helpful at all :(

I'm still getting the white screen and being disconnected when undocking, since 1.3 was introduced. This isn't just some random coincidence, this is happening at least one in five times I undock. Every... single.... day. I've run the client repair tool, twice. I've cleared my cache, checked my drivers and internet connection. It only happens when I undock. I hope this issue has been looked into and a fix will be coming.

hapns to me too; i dun like it! tried experimenting and it seems random (try stacking a single pc of ammo here and there and the results aren't consistent)
