So after some time learning skills to use warfare links I got all excited when i got my Shield Harmonizing gang link, fired it up in my drake command ship wanna be, got my alt account out in his Maelstrom BS equipped with 2 Invulnerability field T2 and a T2 resistance specific; turned on the link and only saw a 1% increase across resistance.
Now my character that has the link has Siege Warfare specialist lvl 4 trained and Warfare link Specialist lvl 4 trained (lvl 5 in queue).
So my question is, is this accurate? is it worth it? or am i missing a hidden bonus or somthing?

The bonus applied is stacking penalized with all other similar effects from rigs and modules.
Your bonus is 11.2% and the maximum in a Drake is 22.5%
At max skills boosted by a Tengu it is 33.75%, which is almost like adding 4 additional resistance amplifiers.

The resistance bonus is subject to stacking penalties (as if it were a module fitted to a ship). --- Join Lowball Heavy Industries. Small, focused fleets - lots of high intensity action, the EVE way. |

this... to both above. command ships do it better. And it will stack.
I run a orca fleet booster (had the alt and ship...decided to use it for the comabt char). No combat link bonuses so you have to stack the links for anything good. Orca this is easy can fit 3. Drake...gonna have the pita to learn command link to add more.
Get a command ship/t3 command sub and its really worth it. If a dual boxer, you could not need some type a shield fittings if into uber fits since boosts will be the same. If running with friends you'll help them out alot.
Ratting in 0.0 one time, joined a dual boxing friends fleet with an uber cs alt in the fleet. NIght and day dude...night and day.

Links are barely worth using without the associated mindlink.
What ship you use doesn't matter nearly as much. |
