Edited by: Dani Nardieu on 19/02/2011 07:12:17 Erm, i can't help noticing a few suiciding T2 fitted cruisers and battlecruisers in there..
Isn't that just a little bit stupid. Like: http://hulkageddon4.machine9.net/killboard/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=1069
If that was me in the Iterion i'd claim victory.

Well, we would rather overkill than let a target get away (Not that it doesn't happen anyway on occasion). And that kill most likely happened after some time of searching for a better target without any luck. ______

You'll be surprised how much miners just don't CARE about Hulkageddon... In past runnings of Hulkageddon I was shuttling around hoping to catch some ganking in progress. When I talked to some of the mining population, many knew the event was going on but simply didn't care. They were fine with the risk which many of them found to be rather low. Seeing how I never got to see any ganks in progress even after hours of flying to belts, I can see their point.
Does Hulkageddon have teeth? Yes it does. Is it the complete apocalypse for miners? Not by a long shot...

The screams of agony in Abudban local, as well as the amount of local/mail rage says, "YOU WONG!"
Add in the fact that the Abudban ice belt, normally home to over 100 ice miners at any given moment, was actually EMPTY of T2 mining hulls last night.

Just sharing my experience dude, and one screaming bear makes more noise than a 1000 just shrugging and going on with whatever it is they were doing.

hulkageddon is just a weak scam to steal all your api keys, which is why miners arent too worried about it. they face ganking as a risk everyday anyways

For hi sec mining ops it will do fine. During Hulkageddon I would throw in a bit more tank though.
Guess he learned that lesson the hard way.

Yes, that Orca pilot failed hardcore. That is why half of our gank fleet didn't even make it on the mail, and half of the ones who did, did 0 or close to 0 damage. He was alpha'd by our fleet before half of our guys finished locking him. If I didn't have 2 sensor boosters I never would have even made it on the mail.
According to AtheistOfFail I won a Damage Control II, so as soon as I receive it I will contract it to that Orca pilot in hopes he fits it to his next Orca. ______

Does hulkageddon have teeth? Not really, 0-9 fail ganks on my noctis woulda figured 4yr + players would be able to take me out but I guess bad players will always be bad players regardless of how much time passes.

Can you come clear it out again! ****ers are crowding the skies out here again! For frak's sake, it took millions of years of evolution for that brain to get inside your skull, would it kill you to actually USE the damned thing?

Read the killmails on Hulkageddon. Some are so funny if you study them. A fleet of 4 Mackinaws were taken out by 4 Armagedons using smartbombs. No need for Concord intervention as they managed to kill each other too.

for hisec mining you can passive tank it with 2 invulns and it's still overkill. cargo expander rigs are fine, but I wouldn't use cargo expanders themselves. a istab and a dcuII is enough. also, he was using two laser optimization links and the cap efficiency link which is even more lolz. ---

That's an indication it has lost at least some of it's teeth. Is Hulkageddon getting stale? Is the ganking community running out of isk? Stay tuned and find out!

Why would you post a lowsec gank in a thread about an event dedicated to highsec suicide ganking? ______

I can tell you in our case it has affected our ability to move our ore around. Two of the haulers we hired for our Ore-A-Thon lost their industrials during transport and one of my corpmates had his industrial damaged in a failed gank attack. I told him not to fly it and just do something else instead.
I hate to admit it, but Helicity's decision to expand the Hulkageddon attacks to industrials was a smart move on his part.

Hulkageddon doesn't have any teeth, no teeth at all. It does however have very sharp gums.
