Which Industrial/Transport ship has the largest cargo space with T2 cargo expander and T1 rig fitting? And how large is this space with maximized or almost maximized skills? And which skills affect the cargo space?
Thanks for suggestions in advance!

Its a shame CCP hid the ship stats, only way to check the stat of a ship is to hop on to it, and that requires months if not years of training.
If only we could somehow access the stats, either in game, or on an app like EVEMon, that would make the life so much easier. But noo, CCP doesn't want that.

Iteron 5 is the largest cargo for industrials. IIRC with tech I cargo rigs and tech II expanders in the lows the hold is 38k m3.
Transport ships, and here you are probably asking about the Deep Space transports (because if you are trying to max cargo a blockade runner you are doing it wrong and will be a nice killmail for some gatecamp) then it would be the Impel. I can't remember the max, it could be 35k m3, whatever it is it is just under an Itty 5.
For Freighters or Jump Freighters I have heard it is the Caldari ones, although I have no experience with freighters so someone with more knowledge about them could tell you there. |

Thanks for reply!
Hm, surprising. I expected some transport ship to be the largest. So the additional rig slot and the larger base capacity of the Itty 5 seem to beat the two more low slots of the Impel.

Actually I am only looking for short range high-sec transports, so speed and safety doesn't matter.

Maybe CCP added some features in the meantime you missed. But you can actually access the stats in the game, for instance in the market, right mouse click on the ship or blueprint, just look a bit around, it's not hard to find. Here is also an items database where you could look: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Item_Database:Ships:Industrial_Ships. Perhaps this may help you to answer my question. Thanks in advance!

Edited by: Alice Katsuko on 19/02/2011 18:58:37 The Iteron V has the highest cargo capacity out of all the T1 industrials in the game. The Mammoth has the second-highest cargo capacity. The Bestower has the third-highest. The Badger II comes in at fourth highest. Due to skill requirements, most players who don't frequently need to haul lots of cargo go for either the Bestower or the Badger II. The Bestower only requires Amarr Industrial II. The Badger II requires Caldari Industrial III. In comparison, the Mammoth requires Minmatar Industrial IV, and the Gallente lineup isn't that great, except for the Iteron V, which requires Gallente V.
The cargo capacity goes higher if you use Giant Secure Containers, since their cargo capacity is greater than their external volume.
All level V skills in EFT:
- Iteron V: 38,433m3
- Mammoth: 28,260m3
- Bestower: 24,115m3
- Badger II: 20,687m3
- Iteron IV: 19,859m3

Bestower only requires Amar industrial 1, not 2. Courier mission bots use Bestower for this reason. Gallente line used to be very popular, for the biggest industrial and 2nd biggest freighter. As highsec gank increases, Amar line is becoming more common. Impel hauls 36k with t1 cargo rigs, and 39k with t2 rigs(55mil each, on a 100mil ship). It can be tanked with 90% resists with no holes for 100k ehp with a signature smaller than that of a cruiser. Providence also has more even resists compared to other frieghters, making it harder to gank.

Add 12 GSC to gain an extra 900m3 each(10,800m3 additional) brings you up to 49,233m3 - its a pain to open and fill 12 GSC's but for max effort mineral/ore movment and no freighter to fly its nice.

Actually, you don't need to open containers anymore. Just have to drop over it. Down side is removing material, but I tend to just select all the containers in station and repackage to open it, then drag all the containers back to the cargo hold. thankfully I rarely need more then 80km3 anymore (Orca), so I rarely need to use GSC for anything but sorting mods anymore unless I am moving few hundred thousand m3 of stuff in a few trips (no freighter yet, don't have the need and if I did I would use it every couple of months at best).

They have identical cargo and number of slots.

I know that precautionary measures are necessary everywhere for an (almost) safe flight with valuable cargo. But I find them easier to arrange in high sec than in low or 0.0. Because aggressors have a much smaller time frame for a successful attack in high-sec than in low or 0.0.

The time frame in highsec is the time it takes to click on that button of grouped 1400 arties. Keep that in mind. Lowsec gatecampers are rarely fit no tank and all gank mods, nor the alpha or quite as much sensor boosting. It is often safer for a blockade runner with valuable cargo to run much of lowsec than highsec pipes. 0.0 has bubbles, that's another issue.
