How much would prices go up on items? Would supercaps no longer be used? Would ships be so expensive nobody would lowsec pvp anymore?

It's pretty obvious that the price of non PI base materials would go dramatically up. Ice, minerals, POS costs, moon goo.. all of these things would trickle down to make for a more expensive final product. The supply of some LP based products would also crash. We'd probably see 20M ISK SPR IIs again. ;-)
Or... nothing would happen. Hard to say!

on one hand there would be less influx of minerals from macro miners. On the other hand there'd be less influx of 0.0 macro-ratter isk. Even if it meant prices went up, I don't think it would be a bad thing for the economy. People would adjust, and all would be well. EC-P8R... You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. |

Mineral prices would go up for a time. I suspect with the removal of npc seeded shuttles, velspar would go sky high for a time. After legitimate miners start working on it, prices would settle, but it won't be as low as this.
Amount of ISK introduced to the economy would get reduced significantly, as the most lucrative bot there is right now, is the ratter bot. This won't effect average 0.0 citizen as they already gain their money through sanctums. Economy would start to deflate I think.
After a time, with less ISK and less minerals in the economy, prices would start to settle and become stable again.
As for the effects on gameplay, well, T2 is largely dependent on moon goo, so it won't be hit as hard, but you can bet your ass manufacturers would raise the prices through speculation. Caps and supercaps would become more valuable, but it would still be peanuts to major alliances, and the main limiter of the supercap numbers would still be the time it takes to build one.
Anyone who says removal of bots would crash the market is either delusional, or is a bot user himself.

I think you would see pvp come down to tactics and economic warfare again. attrition would count again.
right now some alliances can buy there way out of defeat or buy there way to victory through bot isk. they can buy up huge amounts of resources to replace losses.
you might see prices go down even as replacing lost ships would take longer because isk would be gained in the old fashioned method and the current ship output would over supply the demand.
you'd see less supercaps, sov warfare would still require massive fleets but small gang pvp might happen more.

they would not sky rocket, they would find an equilibrium point which meets supply and demand. I assure you that prices would become reasonable.
Inflation caused by macro isk makes it difficult for a casual player to get a ship with hard earned money. Bots can spend as much as they want effectively driving the prices up.

My guess, it would make legit non-bot mining more profitable as prices would go higher.

There would be a short-term spike, but after a few days, mining would become a profitable enterprise again and the mineral market would adjust. We'd fly Rifters until that happens. Yay!
Originally by: Skinae Would supercaps no longer be used?
Considering how many there is, no. The construction of new stuff might slow down as sub-cap production would be prioritized, though (Rifters, yay!)

Totally different.
Edit: You might as well create a forum for discussing Bots as 1 thread is clearly not enough for it.

I'd be happy, I might be able to log in and actually find some anomalies to run! Not the usual case where I log in to find the local bot has ****d everything, and is now in idle mode waiting for the next sanctum to spawn.
What really annoys me is that petitioning has no discernible effect. No bans, no warnings, as far as I can tell.. just nothing..
