Not sure if this has been discussed before, did a forum search and no luck. If I visit a HTTPS site, I get the following error:
Error loading requested URL
Unable to process the website's SSL certficate
Error Code: -202
Anyone else encountered this or know a fix? |

I have run into it but don't know how to go about solving it. I don't think the game uses any of the Windows built-in HTML processing since it uses Awesomium.dll instead.
Now with the new forums being HTTPS-only, we won't be able to browse forums with the IGB.

Found this which seems to indicate wine must be rebuilt to include libgnutls support.
Haven't tried it yet myself.

I have, doesn't work (didn't for me, anyway). There is a bug for it in Wine. Feel free to add any more info you might have there. If we get as many people as possible to add their info (distro, version, Wine version), maybe it'll help narrow down the cause.

I can confirm that this fix does not solve the issue in wine1.3.22. Will test it with 1.3.23 shortly and let you know.

1.3.23 does not resolve the issue. Still ongoing.

There's been some action on the Wine bug report, someone helping track down the issue. I've never actually heard any Wine users verify that secure sites work fine for them. Is this an issue with all EVE Wine users? If not, if a few folks for whom it works fine could post their Wine version and Linux distro version, I can add it to the ticket as additional data. Might help.

wine 1.3.24 Arch 64
Same issue. Loads fine on non https pages. A bit slow, but way better than pre-incarna. https still borks with the error in the OP.
I didn't add comments to the bug (nothing really new to add to the comments), but added a vote for it.

A little off topic, but has anyone found a workaround for the IGB being so slow to scroll and update? I use evemaps.dotlan.net a lot and tis chronically annoying under linux :( __________________________________________________

Voted on the winehq bug report, too.
Nothing that can't be worked around with generous use of alt-tab (or a second screen, Ravow ftw!). But still, https ingame would be sweet. --- Kat |
