This idea will light a loot of fire. Still i like this idea - i know that if this will happen ( 0,0001% of odds) , it will not happen soon as there are much more important issues.
So what are odds to hold a null sec if you don't have to have big alliance support ? Almost none. Quite soon you will have a capital fleet on your head and for times bigger sub capital support group knocking to your doors. It is fun - i know, but this force you to be in a bigger alliance, or die.
My idea is to create new unconnected to other null sec pockets additionally ( and this is where the - main - fun begins ) in this null sec we don't have : - stations ( you have to build it there ) - jump range to any other null sec or low sec pocket. ( if you want to have a capital ships there - you have to build them, or bring them by a wormhole ) Mandatory resource there will be ( in this small null pocket ): - ice field - all planet needed for the pos fuel.
Security status max ( or min in this case ) -0.5 or maybe -0.3
Most of you will ask why: Why not? This will allow new null sec alliances and corps to be forged in eve universe. They will not have to have any support from the current big alliances, and if they will play this well - they can hold this small pockets against much more bigger fleets - but still they will be vulnerable to roaming groups.
New ground for pvp - much more safer ;) as this will be 'hold this ground or die' - and no - 'wait, wait .... cyno up ...' and 300 friends are jumping from 3 titans.
If someone will decide to take your ground - you cannot hide your capitals in low sec. I'm aware that this will pull some corps from main null sec - but for how long? ;)
Now the fire begins, have fun

So ... wormhole systems, but with Sov and local added? Sounds broken-OP. |

Wh space is different. Different things you can do in wh and different in null space. When you gather 50 people to raid this kind of null sec - you are 100% sure that your fleet will have a way to return. In wh you can wait till your enemies will be gone ( wh will close much more sooner than your pos will go out of reinforce. ) In this kind of pocket you have to hold your ground.
Also the means of income are different in 0.0 and wh - and the most important difference. The higher lvl of WH - the higher SP you got to have to live there. In -0.3 null sec BC is way enough - so new players will be useful.
OP - in some way yes. But it have to be in a some way to allow it to prosper - still as this a close pocket only sub capital ship can leave it. |

this would be meh. granted you could take the system, lets say an alliance took the system.
-they can't project power as no ships can easily attack another alliance -any loot gains would be hard to sell since it would take a wormhole trip then end up god knows where, logistics would be a nightmare to end all nightmares, you would need BPOs of all ammo ships bpos, cap part bpos if you want capitals... it just wouldn't work. - so no. |

This nullsec pocket will be connected to low sec via normal gate. Only it will be to far for any capital jump drive. |

So what you'd like is for large nullsec alliances to have a nigh-unassailable fortress?
Because thats what you've proposed. |

null sec groups will just go there, build supers in the pocket and be unremovable.

Yes... but how much you will invest to protect 2 null systems?, and how many people can live in it nad prosper. Still - you build a big fleet there - but you cannot take it anywhere. Maybe it is good to have most of the ships in the near low sec. You cannot take them to this null pocket - but you can protect gate from low sec side.
My luck - few times from 'our' null there was a wh to 'Solar' space - twice roams taked me to high ... and the only "targets" where camping low <-> null space. 40 - 50 jumps and all ssytems empty. In this "closed" pockets there you can always find a fight.
