Too bad. Now everyone selling shiny real t2 BPOs and making people hit 15 min sniper rule like a mad should somehow prove that it's not that kind of scam.
Very bad joke. Third party service for t2 BPO auction is no fun at all.

Edited by: Tigerclaw Bunny on 07/03/2011 09:00:28 17. # Scamming ETCs and character sales are not allowed, please petition if you suspect you have been scammed. When buying and selling characters, please note that by confirming the trade via EVEmail, you ensure that the facts of the matter are documented, should any later disputes arise that require GM attention.
maybe give it a try cause this was a planed scam.

Why? These where only T2 BPO's, not ETC or Character. ETC and chars are to be petitioned because these transactions include RL Money $/Ç
I wonder if number 5 was a copy too.. only four did say they recieved a copy (and didn't claim)

Apparently two reasons of not writing 5th time are most likely these: 1) No point saying the same thing again; 2) OOPS! I bought a trash BPC at BPO price.
Hope it's actually first.
Imho, this is hardly petitionable. Just a fresh version of BPC for BPO Jita scam.
So, topic starter managed a "Catch the BPC scam after hours of snipering near midnight" contest.
Cool.
Rude, but cool.

If you look carefully, you will see that one person won 2 blueprints, so there would have effectively been 4 contracts, so 100% a scam.

Actually there were 10 contracts put out in all. First and second place winners were both contracted. Any good scam incorporates a significant initial outlay of its participants. In this case that investment was time.
Considering I will be getting my titan in a few days, I would highly recommend this scam to anyone who has a knack for it. Next time, I would recommend the scammer identify eager quick responders like gatwtal and hold off on sending them their bpcs. I think without him I might have topped 300bil.
Thanks again to all the participants!

if this scammer did or did not do something wrong according to the present rules, i dunno. what i do know is that scamming on forum auctions should be forbidden cause the last thing we want here is an avalanche of fake auctions driving everyone crazy, ccp staff included.
scamming is roleplaying and roleplaying belongs exclusively ingame or on the dedicated forum section. EVE Marketplace is presumed to be a place where people actually sell stuff, not their twisted ideea of scamming others.
and if you argue that the scammed folks should have looked before accepting the contract, i agree with you on that BUT that doesnt exonerate the scammer of his guilt: THE SALE took place here, on a legit forum with ccp enforced rules, ingame took place only the transfer of property of a what should have been a legit sale, therefore, imo, the blame goes entirely on the scammer.
bottom line, DONT ALLOW bogus auctions on these forums

In effort to forbid such auctions on this forum we'll very quickly end up with already mentioned by me third party service on t2 BPO auctions. Which is, honestly, not only no fun at all but a true painful trouble.
Hope there's another solution for this problem kindly invented by topic starter.

Everyone who's upset should certainly petition this. It warms my heart that perhaps even more time will be wasted.

So some of the guys you contracted the bpcs to really accepted them?

If so, I tip my cap to the OP. Even if not, I thought it was well-played, since I wouldn't associate roleplayers and scams. I'm way too paranoid to accept a copy for an original though.

Hopefully nobody did accept and the OP is just trying to cover up the fact that it wasn't just our time he wasted. I was contracted a 1 run BPC too. I always check them but I had also seen on the thread that it was a scam anyway. Hopefully if anyone did accept it was done on behalf of a deep pocketed alliance and it wasn't some poor player who had spent years earning the isk

Checking the contract history of all the 1st and 2nd place bidders for each item, shows that *nobody* bought a blueprint from this auction.
