1) Allow freighters to warp at 1.6au vs 0.8au
Freighters are the default way to haul anything over 40k m^3 in eve or worth more than a T2 transport and it would be nice to have them go at a decent speed. This would not have any effect to pvp as this only effects them while in warp not getting to warp. Its common to have a friend or second account web you to turn faster.
2) Add industry security features
a) Make it so by default users that have the factory manager role can only deliver their own corporate build jobs and not that of every corp build job. Either add another permission or make it so only full directors can deliver anyone's jobs.
b) There used to be a bug where builders could build from bpo and bpc without having take rights to the minerals in the hanger. They would only need read rights to the hanger. I would like to bring this back as a feature.
c) It has been a feature of the building system since inception that if a job is canceled you lose all the materials. As this feature is very very rarely used unless in cases of malicious intent I would recommend that when a job is canceled you receive the materials back in the hanger that would not have already been used. So for example you have a job that takes 30 days to finish and 5 days into it you cancel the job. You would only lose 5 days worth of materials.
d) Moon silo audit logs to see who took from them and when
Thoughts for or against these idea's? From a narrow perspective being my own, this takes a little risk out of the game but provides and environment more suitable to allowing more people to contribute to corp building vs individual. |

For 2a, someone else had an even better idea to improve this. Posting it here. http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1477445 |

If they allow this, the base cargo values would have to be reduced to compensate.

I completely agree on the freighter warp speed, it's just painful. I like the idea of doing it as a skill but worry about what this could do to the warp speed of Interceptors, so maybe the skill is limited to capital ships only?
As for the Corp permissions, that is a curly one, I know how the permissions are stored in eve (using a bit mask system) and adding completely new permissions is really difficult (I think there is no space left in the number).
On the other hand I think the permissions system in EVE needs a complete overhaul. It is limited, was designed when EVE was not as expansive as it currently is and is no longer really meating the needs of the player base.
*putting on my election hat* I would certainly supprt taking these ideas to the CSM and thus to CCP, but I also know that the permissions one is not as simple is it first appears, though I personally would love to see it done.
If we can convince CCP that a complete over haul of it's permissions control system is warranted then this should most definitely be on the list of stuff that gets implemented along with the new system.
Though a quick fix would be the change of Factory Manager to allow 'install corp jobs and cancel.deliver their own jobs' and only allow Directors to deliver any job. Personally i would just like to see a better permissions system, as an ex-CEO I know the pain managing permissions is and think we deserve better.

It was actually if you had take access but not read access. This bugged out when you added corp contracts role because then people could just contract themselves everything out of that hangar even if they couldn't read it... but yes, such a feature is needed please.

Way back this was a good idea because otherwise you could have reserved factory slots. With the queue that's different but still a problem. This means that players can keep a stations queue full at 30 days without ever making anything or losing anything either (except factory fees).
Something else needs to change for this to become reality (full access all the time for everybody = no slots)

More logging would be great. Specially since access control is far from perfect.
My first suggestion would be to actually remove the director role, it's powers are destructive in the sense that it includes features that are inclusive to all features. That is, you don't have roles for all features individually (or even fully explained ones) ... for some features you HAVE to give director if you want to delegate even if you don't want to automatically grant take access to everything and whatever. .
