Will you remove the reverse redeem PLEX feature then as it no longer is needed?
it's also used for char transfer / portraits changes using plex, so they won't ;)
as someone will obviously ask at a moment ;
Quote: Please note that if no subscription is added with a PLEX to the account during the 4 hours timeframe, the "Hours for PLEX" option will be deactivated for that account and can only be re-instated by a member of Customer Support.
missing info on when option is back available. cause, if of course something like that is needed, i suppose you won't make someone who tried getting 4 free hours for nothing punished until the end of the world. people may come back to have a look as how the game changes during these 4 hours, and may not intent to suscribe at this moment... but they may change their mind some days later, or next month. ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

That is NOT what this feature is intended for. If the player is undesided about reactivating the account, then he should wait for a 5 day trail. The frequency of those seems to have increased lately.
The "Hours for PLEX" feature is intended for those who know they want to reactivate. Most often it would be used to reactivate an alt with a PLEX provide from the main. 4 hours is overkill, but it is better to have it too long than too short.

Excellent idea, thanks!
I have a couple alt accounts and sometimes can't afford a plex for each of them, let alone one to keep in my 'redeem items', so I've found myself opening tickets for a reactivation just to contract a plex over and activate it.
This completely solves that problem

don't have much importance here, either way there's a need to know what happen if someone use the 4hours without adding gametime. it's like saying "you don't need to know what happen if you push the red button, you don't have to push it" of course people want to know what would happen :P people need to know if they will have to use GMs for the next 10 years, or that they can reuse the feature 1 month later for example. ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

Will the 4 hours be deducted from the added game-time once the account is re-activated? If not, it should be. This would keep people from abusing the system, and creating more trouble for GM's.
Make it so it only works every 30 days, instead of working after the account is deactivated. If a guy uses these 4 hours every month, at the end of one year he'll find 2 days less on whichever subscription plan he then activates. ____________

No missing info here. The only thing missing is reading comprehension.
IF no plex is applied THEN free 4 hour activation removed

Thank you CCP, this makes life so much easier for us folks that sometimes need to reactivate their dormant support personnel without having to wait for the 5 day reactivation! Expect more PLEX to be used.

Good move for efficiency of your customer support and convenience of players.
The work in progress on making subscription expiration data in game will also help keep accounts from going innactive inadvertently.
Beyond the savingins in customer service costs, I bet there's been a certain percentage of people who's accounts have lapsed who didn't' bother to go through the process to re-activate them based on intertia. Even if making it easier to reactivate only keeps them for a few more months, if that adds up to a few hundred extra months of subscriptions a year thats another financial boost that will fall to the bottom line each year due to the mechanics being implemented.

Just yesterday I had to reactivate... Uhm... Some accounts, and flooded the GMs with "temporary reactivation requests", so the chars could apply the PLEXes my main contracted them.
I guess they got a bit annoyed at me...
Great feature, and a relatively low hanging fruit. Thanks! --- Kat |

There will be a handful of players who exploit the thing by logging in montly for free just to tweak a few low ball regional buy orders and contract expensive stuff they bought for nothing over to alts.
But, with the elimination of ghost training and ghost datacore accumulation the worst possible abuses have been eliminated.
All in all its better to benefit a group of well-intentioned players even if a handful on knuckleheads find way to game the thing.

OMFG, it's only 4 HOURS! QQ much? Just take this nifty feature as it is.
To clarify, I've used the GM 1 day activation to reactivate with PLEX MANY times. And that's a full day. So have many other people. You don't see anyone complaining about it now, why would it become a problem when it's limited to 4 hours?
tl;dr: quit reading too much into it and enjoy the game.

I believe the counter for the 4 hour reactivation will only be reset when applying a Plex to the account, not on a monthly basis. So basically you'd have to apply a Plex every two months to do what you mentioned.

nice job, was wondering when you guys would do something like that. seems like it would be a pita to be constantly adding a day to accounts. and very convenient for the players as they can do it on their time where putting in a petition you can't know when they will get around to it.
