So I kind of enjoy doing courier missions, not sure why. And lately I have taken on a bit more risk by accepting low sec courier missions. Though I complete most of them, of course the normal gate camp does get me. So my question is, are there any sure fire ways to avoid them? If not, what would give me the best chance to? Currently I fly a crane for most jobs, so I can't afford to lose too many. Alternatively if anyone has a better ship to use that's more expendable and good to avoid warp disruption that would be welcomed too.
Thanks!

1. Align
2. Hit MWD then cloak a nanosecond afterwards
3. Spam warp when the cloak finishes its cycle

Train evasive maneuvering to 5.
You have a blockade runner, use it as such and not as a hauler, fit nano fibers, inertia stabs and ECM Burst II. Tough if you have to use <-that you're probably borked anyway.
Don't use the mwd trick (it's low sec not bubbled up lul sec), just hit warp to and immediately your cloak. That should do the trick.
Else, move to a less camped low sec system.

Its always good to do the mwd trick. Even though it isnt bubbled, there are always times that some interceptors can get really close to you to bump/uncloak. The mwd makes sure you burn out quickly.

Edited by: Barakkus on 13/03/2011 17:08:11 You should hit the cloak then mwd, if you do it fast enough. If you hit MWD then cloak there is a chance they will land a lock on you faster because you have just increased your sig radius with the mwd. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

I appreciate the advice everyone. I will continue to take a look at all this today, and rework my fittings tonight. And I may practice the MWD trick in high sec to get used to it.
The only problems I have had before weren't people warp scrambling me, it was the AOE disrupt (bubble I guess) so if the MWD trick avoids that I will give it a try. In the meantime, I will continue monitoring this thread for other helpful advice. Thanks!

Inertia stabs increase your signature, making it easier to get a lock. But in low-sec, just having a cov ops cloak is all you need. The trick is to make the server cloak you whenever you warp to something, so people can't get a lock. This requires a bit of timing, but nothing you can't practice. In bubbles, yes, MWD away, out of it. Make sure you change direction after you're cloaked, so the changed of getting decloaked before warping are smaller.

As much as I use that exploit personally, I have to say it is the worst exploit accepted as "design".

Depends on the situation... I probably shouldn't even answer this since I spend most of my time camping for industrials, but here it goes:
1) In null it makes sense sometimes to look at the map in system view, find a planet that is at an angle as far off from the other system gates as possible relative to your destination gate, warp to 70 on that planet and THEN head to your gate. This will help you avoid bubbles at the destination gate, as most who deploy bubbles assume you are coming directly from another gate, and position their bubbles accordingly. By changing your angle of entry, your path is at a considerably reduced risk of intersecting one of their bubbles.
2) A blockade runner transport ship with a covops cloak is virtually uncatchable in low sec. Look into it. Just warp-to and activate cloak instantly. Done.
3) A T3 cruiser w/ a covert reconfiguration and an interdiction nullifier is virtually uncatchable anywhere. I use it for setting up null sec scams. You wouldn't believe some of the bubble camps I've just waltzed through effortlessly.
4) If you are poor, tank up as best you can but fit EW modules to jam the campers lock as you truck back to the gate. An afterburner helps... but if there are more than one or two ships you won't make it. Obviously, lots of stabs down low helps. In fact, you should always max them out while leaving just enough cargo space for your mission.
5) have an alt or a friend scout in a shuttle. Sounds simple, right? Most people don't do it, or their scout doesn't scan for ships off grid when they come through the gate. Watch out for HICs... the one you didn't scan for may be mine and I don't honor ransoms.
GL & fly dangerous...

Edited by: Doddy on 14/03/2011 01:37:11 lo sec - cov ops cloak (obv a ship that can use them helps) 0.0 - cov ops cloak + mwd or cloak + interdiction nullifier
Also an ecm burst is handy for that moment you misclick your cloak or whatever and an inty catches you. Don't use in hi sec
Obv stabs also up your chances, as will anythin that gets you into warp faster (nano, agility rigs/nomad implants) or the enemy to lock slower (halo implants, x-instinct booster).
Better still use a carrier/jump freighter and jump past the camp.

Edited by: David Carel on 14/03/2011 04:11:39 Just for all your "OMG MWD increases sig radius faster lock boom dead" guys... minimum lock time is 1 second due to the way EVE works. And all of you manage to click warp and press f1 + f2 in under a second.
EDIT: T3s have **** cargo space and interdiction nullifier is overrated anyway; you're out of most bubbles in a blockade runner after a MWD cycle (if you see a t2 large bubble, pray and overheat MWD).
