Edited by: Commander Podme on 18/03/2011 12:25:22 I can't get out of it. Does anyone else have the same problem? I updated my OS, updated my drivers, firmware, everything and still nothing. Hell, I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled.
I'll be on for about 20 seconds or so, then freeze. Please advise, or console *tear*

Thats not eve thats your net or you need to clean your computer. First thing I'd do is clean your catches, then go from there.

I played all day today and haven't had that problem. Perhaps its your catches or you might have a corrupt game file. I'm telling you its not EVE. Its your computers, something to do with the file you have on your computer.

and pronounced 'cash' you've misspelt your golden problem fixer on every post in this forum and if I comment on something I'd like to get someone else's response than "DODJAFJDASJ ITS NOT EVE ITS YOUR CATCH!" so please, if thats the only thought you have. please just keep it to yourself.

I have very recently had the same problem, although I am not sure the cause was the same.
After several hours of playing, my computer suddenly locked up. It was a kernel panic, and none of the safeguards worked; no rainbow wheel, no warning message, just 100% lockup. After that, my computer would usually kernel panic within a few minutes of logging onto Eve, ran much slower even when I was not running Eve, and began encountering boot problems.
After numerous conversations with AppleCare, it appears to be a hardware failure (although some software tweaks helped performance), likely because of a defective component. It has undergone repairs (took less than two days, free of charge), and I will be giving it a trial run tomorrow. I will update this post if the problem reoccurs, but I think a hardware issue is the most likely explanation, in both my case and yours.
Fly safe.
