Hello all,
I've done a fair amount in Eve, but I admit to knowing jack squat about manufacturing and research and the skills needed for them. My long term goal is to be able to produce me own ammo, namely T2 heavy/cruise missiles, as well as manufacture BC hulls for my PvP side. I'm looking to invest a few months into this skill wise as I have completely all the other plans for my character. I can currently refine in caladri space at 99.5% with zeor taxes and can do perfect refining of all highsec ores.
beyond that I really don't know what I need or what would be a good plan. I am not looking to make a lot of ISK off this, just save some on the wallet. This is being done on my indy account that can mine and transport stuff, but has zero combat abilities.
I am guessing that most of this will want to be with an Int/Mem remap which I do have avail. any advice/help would be appreciated.

I recommend you go to the Science & Industry forum and read the resource sticky, and read the various guides on invention.

for skills part...look at the invention tab on the ammo to see what science skills you need.
Most ammo should be level 2 I wanna say (forget). Ammo is racial...you'll learn a primary science skill from each race to make them all. T2 scourge needs a certain skill unique to it...as does t2 thunderbolt. Each skill is 10 mil a pop so I'd focus on ammo you would be using first (I make t2 ammo, tap the bags so to speak to feed the mission runner's tengu missile habit when orders come out the oven, rest go to sale at some point).
Find an online invention calc. Plug in level 5 and think carefully about doing the train for any invention skills to 5. Its a real small boost, real small. My indy invents at 4 just fine imo. Invention so random...it doesn't even help much imo. Same week I got 3/4 t2 bs bpc's was same week I got 1/10 ammo's. Welcome to probability.
Int mem helps but only if going full bore. That would be the full package t2 dictors/cruiser/bc/bs production since their mechanic skills needs 5's which take a while to train. Invention skills to 4 happens quick enough not int/mem spec'd if not looking to make t2 ships...I think anyway.
Forget the skill name...but train up the one to get moar datacore agents. Its your cores for invention (remember to put them in the item spreadsheet for costs...eve does not need more free datacore tards, that position is overfilled) or sell them off for passive isk. HIgh quality level 3 agents are a core a day no effort. run thier cheesy missions (they are either couriers or give them some amount of trit) and its 2 cores a day with the research points you get as a reward.

you are only gonna get saddened by faction ammo when you look into manufacturing t2 ammo unfortunately. .
