Edited by: Frozen Cabbages on 23/03/2011 19:52:17 Edited by: Frozen Cabbages on 23/03/2011 19:51:43 I've recently taken increased interest in the LP store, and I see that some of these items require general faction tags (such as khanid royal tag) and some of the tags are named (such as shimon jaen's tag). It's quite obvious that atm I'm interested in the omen navy issue BPC. Now, what's frustrating me is trying to find out where to get not only these tags, but any other tags that I may need in the future. I've tried searching where I can kill khanid ships to get their tags, and who the freak Shimon Jaen is and where I might find him, but nothing.
Is there anyone that can either tell me, or link me a website that explains where I have to go and what I must do to kill ships to get any type of tag I may need. Pirate tags are the exception to this since it's quite obvious where to get their tags. Also, when I ask what I must do, what I mean by that is do I have to run missions to get that type of tag? Do I have to scan out combat sites to find the ships that drop said tags? Do I have to perform some sort of unholy ritual to get said tag?
Some help on this matter would be very appreciated, as it's turning out to be more annoying to figure out than I thought. |

Yes I could just do that, but I want to know anyway where to get the tags I need for various LP items. |

To get tags, you kill things.
Usually faction dudes, or dudes in complexes.
Though, if its low Blood Raider tags, you can get them just by ratting in Araz constellation.

Well I can see that I took the time to explain my situation throughly, obviously for nothing. Yes I obviously know you kill **** to get tags, either read the rest of my post or reread it as many times as you have to to understand my question.

Edited by: Ishtanchuk Fazmarai on 23/03/2011 22:02:52 The usual way to get tags is by running faction missions. Now don't ask me who may supply you missions against the Khanid as I am Khanid and certainly no agent ever asked me to kill my own, but this is how I get Gallente, Minmatarr and such tags.
(Anyway, tags are quite a poor way to get LP stuff as ISK are far easier to come by & don't cost you standings)
(I can get that blueprint from my LP if you're really interested in it, btw)

its as most people say, They usually just go for the ship etc to avoid the tag hunts that some of the items require. To be frank its never seemed worth it to me.
The Shimon Jaen tag though is dropped from a cruiser, so i'm gonna say probably a level 2 or level 3 mission spawns him and he'll likely drop the tag more often then not (Not too sure if its 100% drop rate..) Might want to take a look at eveinfo or just googling the tag(s) that you require, There's a couple websites that database this sort of information.

Additionally, you could search for waht you need in contracts. People often sell LP/mission items in contracts if they don't want/need them.

My answer stays the same. Kill things. Ok, no more semi-trolling...
I know a while back I got Khanid tags from doing missions for the Theology Council in Arbaz (or Ashab...). For some reason I got an anti-Khanid mission from an Amarr agent. Unfortunately it was over a year ago, so i don't remember which mission.
I'll do some in game research to find Shimon Jaen, and I'll message you if I figure anything out.

Although I probably will buy the bpc with just isk and lp, I still wanted to know how I get said tags. I just like to know how to do something in case I ever need to do it =p.

I rmemebr whent he offers first came out in lps tore and you coudl only get the dog tag one's and they requirments were worse than now, I got a navy vexor with them requirments then a short while later they made it so any one could get one for little effot, also if you actuallyg ot the tags you could sell them for more on market than what theship si probably worth.

Just killed Shimon Jaen and got his tag, he spawned in the 2nd pocket of Khanid Stronghold, a cosmic signature in high-sec Khanid space (+- same signal strength as a 3/10 or Lookout IIRC). Needs Khanid Slave Trader Insignia to activate the first gate (doesn't consume it).

I think you're quite right...there is a gap in the kb about where specific tags drop. I (like you probably) went about 3 pages deep in Google and didn't find a player-made resource with this information. Plenty of sites that explain what the tags are for, but no specifics on where to find them.
That said, you'll have to rely on anecdotal information for each tag. I found a thread from 2005 that seems to indicate that it dropped in a hidden complex...in Khanid Kingdom.
Perhaps an enterprising young fellow like yourself could do the legwork and aggregate the data and create a resource for new and future pilots?
