With CCP unable to do the most simple things in the world (turn power switch on to boot the cluster) and even fail to communicate why they cant do it, I am thinking CCP is a sub company of Tepco.

and again.
no quality management no quality management processes.
lousy amateurs.
so nice hd stream of the cccp party instead of an actual running gameserver... yesterday downtime was delayed too - no reasons given why.
management by chaos, execution by amateurs?

Well, if CCP were smart they'd have kept the 1hr dt and collected all the cudos from getting the server up and running earlier most of the time. But, not with their 30 minute dt they shot themselves in the foot.

a lack of any official response by now is disgusting, even if its only to say we are looking into the problem.

When downtime was an hour the servers usually came back up in ~ 30 minutes anyway.
I expect them hamsters are drunk/stoned/hung-over after fanfest. Or someone spilled beer on the server :-(

lol. by now? disgusting? are you joking? it's been 23 ****ing minutes since the server was supposed to be up. in this small amount of time, there shouldn't be any kind of official response because the only people who have any control over the matter either #1 don't know about it yet or #2 are working to fix it/trying to figure out the problem.
any kind of response this early would actually be irresponsible on their part, they are smart to keep quiet.

no they are not smart to keep quiet, the very least you do if you have any consideration for your customers, is to accept that somekind of problem exists and inform them that you are at least looking into the matter. Things like this are such a regular occurence, you could easily have a standard msg set up saying this point. Without it you havent a clue wether they actually know that the server isnt up or are investigating it.

Hey guys. Sh!t happens. They got it fixed and it's working now. The correct words are "Thank you." CCP Yokai not only helped fix the problem, but posted about it, and appeared on the Fanfest TV stream.
Thanks for boosting the official Forum-Whine-Index
