you seem mad, mad enough to post an OverTroll even. were you dumb enough to invest in the ebank scam? btw check out phaserinc, some guy posted a screenshot of his returns so its legit!
This thread is really going places. i suggest going to jita & trying to get in with the contract scammers, you'll prolly have to buy some carbon or fall for the navy raven/raven scam once or twice to get in with them tho, but at least you will be within similar minded company, when launching a failure.

other than De-rail this thread, nothing of note today.
I handed a T2 BPO back to a guy the other day, after 3 years of using it for my own profits. then i posted a thread about it with an alt, so as to get some recognition after my long break playing this game. Does this count?
my next major accomplishment will be to name my new troll character. everyone knows me as misty so ill prolly keep the first name.
Now, lets talk about you, you have spent years working with other nerds such as sencees or w/e, (you know that butthurt idiot that failed PI specualtion & that goon made a thread about it, guidance systems was it? ) love his corp name by the way, its so cash.
How about posting the real thread, with real data so i can oick it apart in conjunction with Liberty eternal?

..Some self admitted troll trolled my overtroll in a troll thread that is retrolling with previous troll threads.
And for the record, I almost invested with EBANK right before I took a break fro me the game. Me almost getting scammed out of my ISK so some guy could pay his mortgage with space bucks makes me mad.

TBH, I think you have wasted 2 years of time developing a system no one will trust.
No matter how clean you think you look, or that it wasn't you that stole the EBANK assets you failed in your duty to supervise the CEO. No matter what you say or do, there will never be a good level of trust.
Also its a move of genius bringing SencneS on board. One of the most popular guys on the forum who never says the wrong thing, and looked golden from the EBANK affair.
It might be a good theory craft project, and you have also done a lot of good things for the business side of Eve, but you will never be trusted with ISK.
You should hire me and Manalapan to help with marketing and PR.

For what it is worth, it is not just ^ this. It was not just failure to supervise but it was the full on enabling of Ric's bad behavior. At each and every step Hexxx worked to put a good PR spin, not always for the benefit of eBank or its depositors, on anything that happened. Hexxx did not sell everyone out for isk; He did it for the fame. While I value my (continuing) friendship with Hexxx I also believe that the credibility damage is insurmountable. It is not my estimation of Hexxx's capabilities or trustworthiness that is the question, not in the least. It is, quite simply, our estimations in just how big (and how long) of a grudge the Eve Online community can carry. Still, good luck to you.
Wealth, howsoever got, in Eve makes Lords of morons and gentlemen of thieves; Aptitude and intellect are needless here; 'Tis impudence and money that grants fame. |

Without this awareness of your limits, you are destined to keep repeating the same mistakes again and again. This makes you unsuitable for public responsibilities in my opinion - particularly running another bank, it really seems like hubris.
No second chances! Oh wait, what happened to your first bond? Good people with something to contribute to EVE and MD will recover from failures, as you know.
EVE will grow with the ingenuity and inventiveness of its players. Or, maybe we could just all sit around telling each other what we are no good at and wait to see if the trolls come up with something new and evolved to keep us interested.

I don't totally disagree with your sentiments.......However I do think that somebody who oversaw losses in excess of 2 trillion should stop describing himself as "elite" He is anything but.

Hexxx and his crew of Ebank misfits were unable to recognize an idiot in their midst, an idiot that later absconded with billions in community funds. Guess where that puts them? And yes, the damage is permanent, a clear illustration of their upper limitations, so what was the purpose of this thread anyway? HELLO? PURPOSE?

The subject line in the thread was a bit tongue-in-cheek that I occasionally have fun with. I don't think people should take those labels seriously or think that they can't do something just because they haven't been called "elite".
You can really do anything in EVE, and you don't need to wait for someone to label you "elite" or whatever to do it.

I don't think it's childish and I won't dismiss the ill will that my involvement with EBANK might have garnered. I gave up all of my personal assets when I resigned from EBANK.
As I said in my resignation from EBANK, I'm not going to whitewash my part in it or dodge the responsibility for what happened. If this project actually works (it's all theory until about 90 days from now after we run a beta users test) then I intend to address the EBANK losses as I am able to.

Per the business plan in the first thread linked I have explained why it is necessary for the API to be used in this case, there is no other way to verify kill information.
Unless I should just take people at their word? If you have a better idea on how to do insurance I'd love to hear it.

Why wouldn't you do this first, before wasting other people's time and before you invest so much of your own that your penchant for self-delusion takes over?
Someone sat down and did a simple monte carlo simulation for a non-collateral deposit and loan bank, and even with the most generous estimates for capital ratios, deposit and loan rates, and defaults, it still failed; ignoring the other pitfalls of running a seriousspaceshipbusiness beyond the "honeymoon" phase. EBank was destined to failure from the start because the idea itself was stupid.
I see no acceptance or even awareness of where you went wrong before. In fact, I see you repeating the exact same mistakes. Once again you think that clever coding is the key to everything. Coding is a tool; you need an actual PLAN.
So why don't you address the real issues of long-term financial and organizational viability, and then come here drumming up your "md elite rep" gathering?
This plan is headed on the EXACT same course as EBank was, and anyone who doesn't want to take that ride to embarrassment and shame should steer well clear.

Business/financial viability is discussed in the OP of the first thread and also in responses 55, 64, and 65. I should point out that 65 has actual numbers. You'll find 84 of interest as well, explaining the double dip of in-game/out-of-game insurance.
In terms of organizational viability, that's all addressed in the OP of that first thread. Sencnes and I will work in partnership until we are able to prove this all actually works (it's theory now since no one has ever actually done this before) and then we'll likely create a Board to help guide EI from a strategic perspective.

While I've written pages upon pages explaining the various details, assumptions, theories, and the conservative approach to validating these theories -- you have made sweeping statements without explaining yourself or your perspectives.
Great work.
