Been watching most of the stuff on EVETV, and there was one thing at the Panel, that I hope you don't forget: A guy talked about adding new things for the vets, some kind of long-term incentive, so they can keep on progressing. This was agreed upon by CCP and I hope CCP holds word.
I already made a couple of threads on how this can be done easily, for example creating special ships, that take a lot of skill-training, to keep vets busy for years. Or some kind of SP-graves, where you get like 1% more damage or healt each skill level (rank 10+ skill). Or a 3rd and 4th tier of "specialisation" skills, to keep the vets progressing but with a decreasing effectiveness (less improvement per spent SP with each tier, so that the advantage keeps limited, to not scare the newbs off).

Thanks! :) We originally posted these each night on the Fanfest site, but recently decided to transcribe it to the blog section as more people would come across it here than there.

I think a little more care could have been taken in the scheduling of which tables/presentations where in which rooms. For example the round table on lag was literally blobbed beyond the point of total failure. Two other roundtables on 00 and The Economy where switched last second to accommodate the number of attendees of each. This left some confusion with those who showed up a few minutes late and had no idea why a 00 roundtable was talking about Jita.
Perhaps next year a poll could be taken while planning fanfest. "Here is a list of 50 topics, which 5 would you want to attend most?" This can be used to plan what to present/scrap, as well as understand the popularity of the topics in relation to each other. |

Quote: On adding maker's marks to crafted items: This was actually designed seven years ago by now-CEO Hilmar but tech/net limitations were a hurdle at the time. 'With current tech we can reintroduce features such as this.' - CCP Hellmar
Good, now I can buy up lots of ships with someone elses maker mark on them, use a station alt to sell them that never replys to complaints and some people will go stupid and start harrasing the people who actualy made it!
BRILLIANT
in all honestly, given that theres literaly -0- diferetiation between one players product and anothers, and you can literaly churn out hundreds of literaly identical ships every month and most things are more or less produced by production alts in the first place, I doubt anyone will give a flip that there Battlecruiser was made by "Cache Weapon 01" or there T2 guns are made by Oosel or that there drones and ammo came from Manufacturealt12 and altmanu03
Granted some "name brads" sutch as Chirba and Akita T might be of interest to some people. but beyond that its all meh.
besides, I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THOES ANIMATIONS IN THE VIDIO! will we be able to do all that?
ok I admit im a bit insian about animations in vidio games, especialy since more and more developers are working on makeing them more and more realistic

Excellent idea! In fact, we're not going to wait until next year. Right now, while it's still fresh on your mind, we want your input.
In the March Newsletter we've included a survey about Fanfest 2011. The survey also has comment fields so that we can also get your thoughts on what you felt was great and what you felt could be improved.

I suggest you take the survey again. It does not address the specific issue I have pointed out or provide any sort of plausible solution to improving upon it.

As far as I see it it's a blog for dev's. Inow they can and do whatever they want with it. ------------------------------------------------ There is no such thing as good or evil. Just an egotistic struggle for self empowerment. ------------------------------------------------ |

So.... did ya bring up the fact that null sec was being ****ed and that you are stealing the investment players made in SOV at fanfest or were you afraid you wouldn't make it out alive if you did?

The video team has been adding them to the Fanfest 2011 Playlist on YouTube. There are about 10 videos up there now with more on the way.

Hi mum I was on telly Although I still stand by what I said with regards to us vets I bet nothing will be done about it I got the impression from the panel that the emphasis is more on the newer players ....unfortunatly
