I know of the arguments for and against using auto-pilot to warp to 0m from the gate. I have no wish to change the way auto-pilot stops 15km short of a gate. But if I have a ab or mwd fitted shouldn't the auto-pilot recognise this and activate it?

So you essentially want warpto0 for frigates. Not going to happend, if you want to travel faster - play the damn game.

Edited by: Equus Toomp on 03/04/2011 12:15:14 No not at all, I just think an auto-pilot should recognise the ab. It knows to activate thrusters, warp drive and the gate itself. I don't believe in warp to 0. In reality there would be a significant increase in the chance of comming out of warp and slamming into another ship that had also warped to 0, especially in a congested hub. So the 15km drop off point makes sense. An Auto-pilot that cannot activate an ab doesn't. And I very rarely use auto-pilot so am not really bothered.

Way to contradict yourself.

No contradiction present. OP is asking about use of ab from the 15 km warp in point onwards and enabling the auto-pilot to activate the ab itself.

Do you often talk about yourself in 3rd person or only when you forgot to swap to an alt to show how big support your topic has ?

You want to make afk travel fatser, which is bad.
Especially cruiser/frig hulls would make it to the gate in mere seconds with an activated MWD. There would be no real difference to warp to zero.
As Valandril said, play the game if you want the benefit.

OK, fair enough it's an afk issue then. On the rare times I have used auto-pilot on long jumps I check markets and stuff so it's handy to just click the auto-pilot button. But I can see the issue with folks being afk.

You can still do your market checks/email reads and see the Overview to the side to do the few clicks neccessary to warp thru a system and jump thru the gate. Any methods to make afking in EVE Online should not be considered ... Fit a bunch of overdrive injectors in ur lows for your ship ur flying if u want to slowboat to gates quicker. [≡v≡] |

Valandril, are you always a pompos prick or does your additude just stink? I don't agree with the idea either, but there's no reason for you to be acting this way. Back off please. Test all...Know all |
