There are many more ways in eve to make isk than running havens and sanctums. Ya they give a nice boost to your wallet after a few hours, but its so damn boring . I haven't ratted much at all lately which explains why I don't have a billion+ isk in my wallet like some other people.
I think it's kind of a good thing in a way. It'll make it easier to get rid of useless people.

I've found all anomolies ,, ratting, missions etc an incredible ISK loser in terms of opportunity cost... but I like trading.... I also like posting on forums which costs me even more isk.
In the end, the game is about fun... I have some friends in the game that I love joking around with, spending my evenings on ts with them as we roam aroudn looking for targets ... I can trade on a second or third client while doing that..when i feel like .. but they don't.
They ***** about paying for their ships... it takes them a hell long time as it is running sanctums in a casual way between fleets...
it will take away from my fun in the game if they play less.
it will take away from my fun in the game if they aren't availble to fleeet up because they need to make isk in empire or in some far corner of 0.0 with low real sec status.
If we had a change that was going to put a lot of small roaming gangs into the game because of the change,, that might be worth making it harder to make isk for my buddies... with smaller gangs instead of mega fleets they could have lols with t1 cruisers , interecepters etc.. too... or more likely have some sucess with that
...but this change doesn't seem aimed at making more fractured warefare with smaller groups... it just acerbates focus on fewer systems.
If the change doesn't make it a lot more fun for more people than it turns off ... well ... whats the real point? entertainment? or sorta some meta axe to grind ... don't like naps so damn it we'll keep throwing odd stuff at it till something sticks... ...losing track of the saw of almost all sucessfull businesses "the customer is always right"... if you don't give customers what they want you have fewer and fewer customers

Great idea. What is your proposal? I have no clue how to make blob!=win. I don't think CCP does either.

I don't have any easy answers... but basically, I'd be looking to add, not subtract,, for a carrot, not a stick, for a win win situation ...
If I figured there was something that had a pretty good chance of not working but would affect a bunch of people adversely, i'd keep looking until I found something else to take a risk on..
zero sum thiking just isn't for me...

Except entrapment arrays require military index in order to be installed/function. And with this truesec change you will not be able to maintain a decent enough military index in most of your systems to use these upgrades either.
