Okay ran the automatic patch and after 30mins it crashed during the install. Then it offered to fix my copy of EVE but that crashed. So I downloaded the patch manually but that tells me the patch is up to date.
Now what the hell do I do?

Same problem here. I'm about to reinstall EVE, but 4GB take about 3 hours to download.

Edited by: MadraRuaa on 06/04/2011 19:08:54 Same thing happened to me, it then corrupted my client and would not allow me to access Eve. I unistalled the client and reinstalled it. Now I have downloaded the new client it tells me that it fails saying "Archive failed"
So I cant install a client or get back into Eve, any ideas on this?

Don't know. Can I see it without being able to start the client? But I played yesterday with the client, so it must be the latest right before the downtime.

Edited by: Cmdr Prometheus on 06/04/2011 19:23:15 got the same problem. Actually i¦m trying to redownload the patch but you need to delete it first. You will find it under C:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\Downloads... If you delete the patch there. Your able to start patchloader again under: C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\e_eve_tranquility\cahe\.... I hope that helps you a bit if you have corrupted patchfile.

So I can login to Singularity but when I try to download the Tranquilty client from the forum download page it fails again and again with the same failure. "Archive Extraction Failed" -Canceled-
I have tried downloading it manually but I get the same thing :(

Okay once again its faster and easier to fix the problem myself.
For those who don't know.
Go to your EVE directory and try running the repair.exe file. Fixed my problem at least.
CCP creates a useful program which is good but then fails at documenting this for the public. Why am I not surprised.

Dam, Sadly My client nearly always gets corupt for some reason, even a patch under 20mb done it one time and I was ****ed. I found out that the old retail disc, EvE online Special Edition gets corrupt EVERYTIME, probaly because it has so much patching to do to get to the current build, I dont know.
Well DL'ing 7xx mb patch now @ 1mb/sec il see in 5 mins if im ok, dont have much hope tho |

I reinstalled EVE with the new client, where the patch is already included. It took some time, but now it's fine.

so why isnt ccp just sending out dvd¦s with there new client everytime they bring a patch? :)

Running into the same issue as the OP. Autopatch failed, repair tool failed, downloaded the new patch (evepremiumpatch237081-246350_m) and it says folder is up to date.
I have restarted and running the repair tool again. It would be disappointing if I had to d/l the full client again. |

ive dl the client already and it still wont work, tried the repair tool and it wont work either, so i uninstalled both sisi an tq as bother were doin the same thing so i think it might b my pc...gunna be ****ed if this new patch isnt compatible with this laptop

downloaded today's patch, got an error message about corrupted client, ran repair stuff, got into game fine. however, when i tried to use the character customizer to add scars and tattoos, i waited five minutes for it to apply a scar and then cancelled it.
it took a total of an hour forty five minutes to apply the patch and repair program. i have two hours a night to play. nuff said

Blizzard give players extra game time when the mess up patches like this. Maybe giving us an extra day of gametime in compensation us wouldn't be such a bad thing.
