Are the updates being down load thrue the same sites as the live feed for FF? If so then i got band width throttling happaning from that site because when I just updated sisi I got a higher down load rate. odd.

I have the horrendous flash, but not limited to the splash screen, applies in game too. I'm on the latest Catalyst 11.3 which gave me no problems before. This specifically began after using the in-station recustomizer. I also was told to recreate my character before it would allow me to recustomize, then the client crashed, then the flickering started.
I also get massive motion blur when spinning a ship in hangar now. The game's unplayable.

Had the same problem as above with the character creator losing my changes after a cache reset. Re-customising with the in-station option seems to have saved it.
When you customize your character, a temporary portrait is created and stored in your local cache while the server processes the rendering for the image server. When the server-rendered portrait is ready it will replace the temporary one. If you clear your cache in the meantime, you will get the old portrait from the image server. As soon as it's done rendering you will get the new one, and also as you've seen if you again customize your character you will get a new temporary client-rendered image while the server processes the new one.

Originally by: Sinq Arnolles So one of my characters portraits just got rendered by the server and the quality looks considerably lower.
I viewed it in my browser and the quality is considerably worse than the client one. Well the lighting is better on the server render but the texture quality is horrible.. specifically on the shirts textures and parts where the skin joins the shirt looks very stretched and the hair looks extremely jagged.
Which character is it? Can you link me to the image?
Thanks Mindstar -- |

Edited by: Tiliam on 06/04/2011 20:54:04 Edited by: Tiliam on 06/04/2011 20:52:14 I'm getting really bad flashing in-game since the update. There seems to be a horizontal "band" about 100pixels high across my screen which is flickering really badly when in game. When rotating my ship it seems like one set of frames is rendered 5-10 frames after it should be. So every other frame is behind where it should be.
I'm in a crossfire setup with a HD5970 on the latest catalyst drivers and the latest crossfire application profiles. Game was fine before the update.
Also I can seem to fix the horizontal band by changing the preset interval to immediate but there is still flickering and stuttering when moving anything in the 3d-space. Changing the preset interval to one, two, three and four brings the band back.
**edit**
restarting the client doesn't help - still get the band and flickering on the login screen, character selection screen and in-game.
I'm also seeing the game being very taxing when launching - one of my cores goes to 100% usage and stays there for a while before the game loads - this never used to happen as I'm at 4ghz and running off a raided SSD array so there shouldn't be any bottlenecks causing extended loading times and excessive resource usage when launching (it didn't happen before 1.4)

PC Client, Vista x64 Ultimate
* CC is somewhat slower in loading times. * Tuck options of bottom/shoes is bugged, option 2 shows the result of what option 1 should be. Option 1 shows a cone-shaped leg above the boot. * Moving the character to the top of the window and adjusting the head position makes the character flicker.
Other than that, everything seems to work as intended for me. ______________________ This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine! |

Thanks, I understand that now. And the ship bobbing? It's seriously making me feel ill looking at a static ship. Like I've just walked off a boat after a long time sailing.

Bug/feature malfunction:
If "load station enviroment" is disabled from game settings, character doesnt appear to screen when entering character customization thru station icon.
Temp fix:
Enable "load station enviroment" from game options.

My bug report (107713) is flagged as "Fixed in 2011 R1", but that's either not this build or it's simply not true ù the bug remains.
In Incursion 1.3 we added some functionality to the search tab in the assets window and that's why the minimum width was increased.

Ok. And Blehà
The problem is that it's now one of those unruly windows that can't really be stacked with anything else and which, for all other purposes than searching, is much larger than it needs to be. Would it be at all possible to move the fields around in the future (or even let them auto-flow/arrange themselves) to just require the same minimum width asà wellà pretty much everything else (e.g. People & Places, which is a good candidate for stacking the Asset window with)?

Alt-tab seems to be bugged. Switching back and forth between my Jita alt and when I go to him it's like the whole station needs to load again and I get a black screen.
Chat seems to overlap more than it used to and you used to be able to fix it my switching between portraits/no portraits and that doesn't work like it used to.

Nope, I've tried leaving the client off for a little while, just relogged and the flicker is still there. Tiliam's description of the problem further up the page describes it quite well. I'm on a crossfire setup with two 5770's, but I'm not actively using crossfire - I usually run with just a single card.
I'm using the latest Cat 11.3, so can't update any further!

Minor issue but worth sorting out as there's already too many clicks needed to do most tasks:
- When transfering money to a third party via the corporation wallet screen - the transfer window appears behind the wallet window rather than on top.

I cannot be certain the patch is the cause, because I have not actively played Eve for a while and in the meantime installed new Nvidia drivers.
However, Nvidia 3D Vision does not work for me anymore, at all. Even in 3D mode the game only renders a single image. Before it worked fairly well with some issues (mouse rendering at screendept etc). Switching between fullscreen and windowed mode doesnt help and neither does disabling my 2nd non-3d monitor.

Got same flickering on startup with radeon hd 2600pro and catalyst 10.10 drivers. Doesn't really matter anything because the flickering ends when client enters login screen...

The "Tuck 1" option for the trousers results in 1 inch wide calves, almost as if the mesh snaps to the bone (see attached image). Tuck 2 looks alright. The problem is independent of texture quality and cloth simulation settings settings.

Also, the biography data loss from syncing between EVE-gate and the EVE-client that I reported months ago still isn't fixed.
