Edited by: JingJangJung on 12/04/2011 11:19:30 How to?
I need to engage 3-4 cruisers (usually ruptures), some fast tackle (ceptor, frig), one falcon, RR that hugs the station and I'm alone in empire.
How to??
Can fly all ships..

Triple sebo arty Tempest with a set of lg Jackals and at least 5 sniper spots 80km off the undock? I dunno, the situation seems pretty goddamned gay, not sure why you'd want to try to engage.

Edited by: Diesel47 on 12/04/2011 13:28:36 Snipe falcon asap. After that you can kill the cruisers no problem...
Make the RR dock up or something, then focus one cruiser down. You should have enough time...
Oh and put Warrior IIs on the ceptor.

Edited by: LordInvisible on 12/04/2011 22:38:14 yeah, so u need to have two ships at the same time..
something to snipe (artileries) with eccm fitted. and then something to track cruisers orbiting u while armor tanking them, since speed tanking is out of a question..
Do we have a ship that can do both?:D -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: "For me EvE wasn't that much fun, many ppl refer to it as a nicely designed database front-end and that |

could maybe pull it off with some disgustingly pimped out 1400mm arty maelstrom, couple of ECCM mods, shield booster + omni resists (A/X-types) and damage / tracking in the lows ... alpha the falcon then just deagress and dock, ur tank should hold for the 1 minute necessary assuming they don't have too much neutage, lets face it those ruppies arent putting out a whole lotta dps. Don't believe the hype! |

Get some friends. Those odds are ugly.
I know there's guys out there who'd fight with you just to even the odds. Believe it or not, while almost everyone in EVE will tell you station-camping with a Falcon and RR is a perfectly valid tactic, a lot more of them than you might imagine still think that valid or not, such a tactic is entirely lame. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

People who fly Falcons are usually mentally handicapped so invite them into a channel with some big bold letters in rainbow colored text and you can probably distract them long enough to alpha them.

Yeah friends are probably your best bet. Another option to at least annoy them would be a quad plated trimarked neut Domi with ECCM Sit on undock use sentries to run Falcon off, neut RR into uselessness and then kill close in cruisers with some Ogres/Hammers or Zerkers/Valks depending on how they are tanked. if things don't go well pull drones turtle up and wait your 1 minute docking timer, works best if you have HG slaves.

Edit: let me clarify.
If you do not have more than 1 char and more than 1 comp side by side, then you are doing it wrong.

This absolutely. If someone as weird and quirky as me can get friends to fight by his side, so can you. Even if it's just the people in local offering to RR you so they can get involved, do it. Hell I'd imagine a lot of the bored hisec missioners who want to PvP would offer to do such a thing; I know I would just for kicks. Get a plan going and strike fast!
I also liked the ideas of an arty alpha battleship of some sort to pop the Falcon; without it your enemies lose their force multiplier.

I disagree; I've never used alts in my entire EVE career. Having actual other players and friends to interact with makes EVE an awesome experience. ------------------- The path which can be seen is not the True Path |

Edited by: Herrring on 14/04/2011 02:47:59 The arty-alpha ship works pretty well from my experience.
The point is only fly alpha ships and have bookmarks all over the gates and stations.
Never fly other ships and if they bring out ships that you can't alpha just dock/cloak and afk.
Hi-sec wars are almost always not about fun for both sides imo.
It's about who can make the other side more miserable.(which can be pretty fun if you are the winning side)

I smell buttmad, u mad?
also, if they got a falcon on field and he actually jams you right out the undock or beginning of the fight, quickly deaggro, call back drones and hug on the station. If you're able to dock up, smack in local how dumb the falcon pilot was and how he cost his team a possible kill.

As I said the your other thread exactly like this one, a passive rattlesnake should fit the bill. You could tank everything there permantantly and your drones will put out DPS even if you are jammed. Eventually, the RR or Falcon will have to log, then you can kill everyone else.

Yes, sitting outside a station, aggressed, in a Rattlesnake, waiting for what could very well be alts (RR and Falcon) to simply leave/dock up is a great plan and could not possibly lead to reinforcements coming a half dozen jumps to kill you.

Depends on the station shape.
If it has a small docking radius then dock/undock right into them in a disco-phoon. If it's jita 4/4, don't even think about it. ---------- Who, me? |

Perhaps you didn't read the OP. I answered the situation he described. If you want to add things in, then that is not the situation the OP described anymore now is it? You might as well change in to null sec and worry about one of the ships having a cyno.

You can however use an insta off station plus a zealot or a sniper BS to pop the ceptors and maybe even the falcon if you're lucky. Then GTFO, wait out your aggro timer and dock.
Honestly a nano cane could probably outrun the ruppys if they're plate fitted using an insta. Assuming you keep within 100km of the falcon he'll be too close to warp in and too far to get good jams. IE, BM undock, BM insta, warp to insta and warp back to undock @100km. Pop ceptors and kite ruppys when they try to engage.
Align, overload MWD and warp out if things don't work out.
Also a neut + ECCM fitted domi might not win per se, but it'll certainly bring a lot of **** down with it.

Edited by: Machiavelli''s Nemesis on 19/04/2011 08:51:12 Pearly nugget of wisdom:
"In a situation of 1vsX (where X includes unspecified gankships plus logi plus falcon), aim to be part of "X"."
Failing that, fly something cloaky and get a good idea of what ships they may have available before you decide whether to engage or not.
Additionally, engaging on station is asking for it. I usually hunt for targets away from easy escape routes like gates and stations.
