Im currently running missions for a pirat faction agent and I just cant figure out wtf is so special that I need to move 40k m3 for them all the time??
So seriously, no matter if its high, low or null sec (just gets more complicated to do here). This storyline has got to be the biggest waste of time CCP has created. Now, I dont care if I only were to receive it at the same rate as other storylines, but thats not the case. Well above 50% of my last 20 storylines have been this mission (currently at 65%, I started keeping track).
Even in the unlikely event that Im being totally unlucky, the mission still sucks. It has no meaning or use except for the wasting of time. And this is even when considering that a lot of things in eve takes time and are not always worth it.

its one of the best mission in existence.
it gives 8.0 % faction standing. with enough faction standing you can infinitely reject missions

I have a faction standing of 9.48, a corp (caldary navy) standing of 9.91 and some agents are 10 ect.... so does that mean i can reject missions... thought you took a big hit if u did that?

if you gave 9.1 faction standings, then yoou can reject as many missions you want from, say a 7.0 standing agent, until one of the following happens
1) your corp/agent standing drops below -2 (after diplomacy) 2) your faction standing drops below 7.0
Since every 40-60 missions you reject you only lose 0.1 faction standing, you can reject many many many mission.
When your corp standing is low, reward from a mission is HUGE and penalty of rejection is small.

it still feels like wasting your time.
Any idea why its being handed out so frequently?

You said pirate faction? what are the other storylines you're getting?
It's possible that the pirate factions only have very limited storyline missions. A friend doing some says the only ones they've ever gotten were "special delivery" and "materials for war preparation".

Im running for serpentis.
Im getting Materials for war once in a while, Record Cleaning and then a 9 part storyline which has great faction drops, but the problem is the last part is a courier so standing increase sucks big time. There is a 5 part one as well, but these are the ones I remember off the top of my head. Everything else is drowned out in delivering special stuff.
