I'm curios what happens if a pod pilot is pregnant and then gets podded?
Would killing the pod kill the unborn child too, or is there a scanner for picking up these things? Or can you just keep the child safe in a jump clone like one big growing implant?

the system can't send both mom and child on a new clone after a pod. so either you don't undock when pregnant, either you try clone jump, i think it would works. ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

The pod scans for disease and parasitic organisms, and then aids the pilots immune response in dealing with the infection. The result, abortion. By the way, real men biomass when they emoragequit.

It's not much of a problem because most pod pilot "ladies" are really guys. Still, cyber responsibly.

Given the technology is from the Jove it is possible that pod pilots cannot have children since the Jove lost such ability generations ago.

Podding the future mother of your child seems an pretty extreme way of avoiding child support. What ever happened to just changing your identity and moving?

Considering that a fully grown human body can be grown in minutes, I don't think test-tube babies will pose much of a problem to the scientists in EVE.

Also the whole point of having progeny is to continue the species. To give one's DNA (and thus oneself) a kind of immortality. Pod pilots are already immortal, so why bother to procreate? Breeding is for Minmatar slaves.
procreate...no, but practicing is fun?

They already can't make blasters work fine, so change or improve Jove's tech is just impossible forget it.

You might just have solved the mystery about why the Jove are dying out.
The Intaki practice rebirth, a piece of their soul is reborn into an Intaki baby every time they die.
The Gallante are just so promiscuous it doesn't really matter.
The Caldari keep their foetus in tubes.
The Amarr use slaves as surrogate wombs.
Brutors are just such alpha males even their females can impregnate you on sight.

got to admit never really thought about this. i'm inclined to think given the state of medical science in eve that any pod pilot would simply use a surrogate to go through the actual inconvenience of carrying the baby to term.

Pretty much this.
And besides, look at this face. Look at it! Why would anyone want to put her through the rigors of childbearing?? What kind of monster does that?!

CCP will need to add this to a future sexpantion, a single low slot to your pod to fit a cargo expander should the pod pilot become pregnant. By the third trimester a meta4 or T2 expander maybe be needed.
