Is their any forum destination I can go to that would give me this? I'll display my problem here if anyone is interested in giving me a hand here:
I run EVE on steam. On the night Incursion 1.4.2 was released, I tried to reopen my game and it couldn't. I saw the splash picture but nothing afterwords. I investigated the EVE folder to see if my EFT program was causing all of this (it has it's own folder which I'm sure your aware of), after doing so the game displayed new errors when I retried to launch the game. An error box appeared, saying that these files were damaged or corrupted: (It was every file in the main directory, not including the folders). After this, I tried to fix it in the order of the following:
- The exe file "repair", I used it as the error window prescribed me to do.
- Uninstalled the game. It gave me an error I couldn't do it. Instead I just hit the 'verify game files' option under the properties, than 'local files' menu.
- Deleted most of the game I could and than copied my brother's 'eve online' folder. He wasn't having problems. I dropped it down in the appropriate folder, hit yes for overwriting the files, and than tried to launch the game
All of these attempts have failed. Now that I got a fresh copy of eve online in my steam/common folder, I'm back to square one. I get the splash and it doesn't launch the game.

Edited by: Val Quadrix Borgias on 21/04/2011 05:17:48 Can you tell me how that could be done please.
I just downloaded this and tried to install (Direct X). Trying to install it didn't help, it just told me:
"DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary."
I researched into uninstalling Direct X so I could reinstall, but apparently that's impossible as Direct X is integrated into Windows (My current: Windows 7). I'm rather lost.

Edited by: sableye on 21/04/2011 22:49:04 have you tried todo a system restore? have you updated your graphic card drivers or just try reinstall them? is your cpu supported I remember they changed soemthing a litle while ago abotu cpu requirments and while it may not have afefcted you at time it may now. have you checked if your graphic card is actually supported anymore? try install to another hard drive, you could have corrupt sectors maybe. maybe reinstall windows (I know its a pain but its an option) any issues with any other games?

Seems like I got my game working. I deleted my cache file and it remade itself. Something inside there made the game not want to work.
Thanks for all your help guys. I appreciate it greatly.
