Do you think Eve would run on this tablet? It has a keyboard-dock and is supposed to work as a netbook with it.
The Acer Iconia W500 is built on AMD's Fusion platform, including the Ontario C-50 APU with Radeon HD 6250 graphics(256mb dedicated), and total 2GB of RAM memory. Review 1
Specs
Would be cool to have at work, and maybe do some trading or logistics on.

That's the exact same problem i have. But my notebook is based on AMD's fusion ontario model. All other games tried this far has worked fine so i think it is a problem with EVE, maybe the resolution which is 1280x720 which is "low"HD resolution.

Another FAIL tablet. 4 hours of battery...with eve you are looking at 1 hour MAX! that alone leaves no good reason to have eve on a tablet.
Tablets as for now are not made to play games like EvE, play on your normal pc and don't bother.
p.s looks crap as well, sorry but it dose. Ipad ftw!

Confirming
On my new Aspire One 0722 series netbook, also built on the AMD C-50 / Radeon 6250 platform...
Couldn't get Eve to run, would crash just before entering station (after character selection screen). Setting audio on/off, different screen resolutions & settings yielded no results.
Then I disabled Eve Voice, presto the eve client now runs! Yay.

I don't really know why you would want to play eve in the first place but w/e.

Apart from the usual fail in a post like this, he is going to be right when Incarna hits.
A tablet like this, which is almost beefier than my damn desktop( ) would be heavenly for market games, PI stuff or other industry related activities. Doing the carebear in true couch potato style.
Ironically being docked will soon stress the hardware much more than any half decent fleet battle did. ______________ Mal-¦Appears we got here just in a nick of time. What does that make us?¦ Zoe-`Big damn heroes, sir.` Mal-¦Aint we just.¦ |
