Does anyone have a pretty detailed skill plan for Minmi PvP? Thanks.

Edited by: Eihnlazer on 25/04/2011 07:55:35 Hmm.... train all gunnery skills to V except for controlled burst.
Train all Minny spaceship command from battlecruisers on down to V.
Train all mechanic, Electronic and engineering skills to V.
Train all light and medium drones to V. accompanied by drone support skills and minmatar and gallente specilization.
Train rockets, light missles, assault missles and torpedos to V along with relevent supports.
That should get you into pvp minmitar style pretty well.
EDIT: im only being partially sarcastic. You acctually need all those skills for minmatar ships. If you have a particular size of ship or goal you can trim off alot.

Thanks. I was looking for something more rounded and far more specific. I wasn't quite planning on going above a cruiser for a while.

Eihnlazer gave a great answer to your original very unspecific question.
For just cruiser and below forget about (heavy) assault missiles and torpedoes. You'll also need good navigation skills.
For the precise skills lookup fits for rifter (perhaps breacher too, which is fun), vigil, rupture and stabber, then train the skills for the mods and rigs required. The RvB killboard is a good place to look for fits for these ships. When you're ready to get into t2 ships you won't need to ask your question.

The skills listed below will take you seven or eight days to train. The plan will get you into a frigate with the skills needed to fly it decently.
Propulsion Jamming I Afterburner I Energy Grid Upgrades I Weapon Upgrades I Rapid Firing I Motion Prediction I Sharpshooter I Shield Management I Energy Management I Shield Upgrades I Evasive Maneuvering I Hull Upgrades I Propulsion Jamming II Afterburner II Rapid Firing II Sharpshooter II Motion Prediction II Weapon Upgrades II Energy Grid Upgrades II Energy Management II Shield Management II Shield Upgrades II Hull Upgrades II Evasive Maneuvering II Warp Drive Operation I Warp Drive Operation II Repair Systems I Repair Systems II Tactical Shield Manipulation I Tactical Shield Manipulation II Gunnery III Afterburner III High Speed Maneuvering I High Speed Maneuvering II Shield Operation III Weapon Upgrades III Minmatar Frigate III Tactical Shield Manipulation III High Speed Maneuvering III Spaceship Command IV Weapon Upgrades IV Minmatar Frigate IV

I have most of those at V, some at IV. I cannot even properly pilot a Rifter because, like that list, I am missing the Small projectile turrets skill (and related specializations).

Depends what you want to fly or do. If you want to fly every possible PvP ship to max, cya in 3 years! Small gang in lowsec is usually T2 cruisers and battlecruisers with t2 autocannons. Big fleet-blob warfare nowadays has Maelstroms with t2 1400mm artillery as FOTM. Small roams or FW also have smaller ships like t1/t2 frigates and destroyers.
Originally by: Eihnlazer gunnery skills .. Minny spaceship command from battlecruisers on .. mechanic, Electronic and engineering .. drones .. rockets, light missles, assault missles and torpedos ..
You forgot navigation (very important for minmi)!!

get the basics and play with best named guns a few days. Yes you will miss the dps bonus of specialization for about a week, you will however get live fire practice with projectiles guns and ammo. Some like ac/hate arty rifter, others like arty/hate ac. Then some like both lol. Best named will let you try both since ammo will be consistent even after you t2 (even with the t2 guns, chances are good you will use RF ammo saving say barrage for ac for limited special uses). Week of playing with ammo like rf du and say rf emp....then can do the t2 ammo when you get it to see what works for you.

I started with small projectile 3 and gunnery 2. The above is just a basic 1 week skill plan for a minmatar to get started. So go troll someone else you failure or post a skill plan yourself.

I was suggesting that adding Gunnery and Small Projectile Turrets to the plan would make it everybody's piece of cake, not only Minmatar characters.
If you thought that was trolling, you've got issues.
My skillplan, as per your request :
Gunnery III Gunnery IV Small projectile turrets I Small projectile turrets II Small projectile turrets III Small projectile turrets IV Propulsion Jamming I Afterburner I Energy Grid Upgrades I Weapon Upgrades I Rapid Firing I Motion Prediction I Sharpshooter I Shield Management I Energy Management I Shield Upgrades I Evasive Maneuvering I Hull Upgrades I Propulsion Jamming II Afterburner II Rapid Firing II Sharpshooter II Motion Prediction II Weapon Upgrades II Energy Grid Upgrades II Energy Management II Shield Management II Shield Upgrades II Hull Upgrades II Evasive Maneuvering II Warp Drive Operation I Warp Drive Operation II Repair Systems I Repair Systems II Tactical Shield Manipulation I Tactical Shield Manipulation II Gunnery III Afterburner III High Speed Maneuvering I High Speed Maneuvering II Shield Operation III Weapon Upgrades III Minmatar Frigate III Tactical Shield Manipulation III High Speed Maneuvering III Evasive maneuvering III Weapon Upgrades IV Minmatar Frigate IV
I'd rather train Evasive Maneuvering III than Spaceship command IV. Similar training time, 5% instead of 2% improved agility. I'd also prioritize Minmatar Frigate IV over some other skills, but oh well. It's a week :P

So....a plan that is both broad and specific at the same time....good luck with that.
