I would make an eve game that did not require a silicon chip.
It would be strategy, but HAS to have pvp.
I could make little wooden avatars to replace our pixelships! And, instead of a server, I'd use a wooden board, with maybe a grid on it.
As each ship has it's own role, strengths and weaknesses, so would each wooden avatar. Except for the ones representing T1 frigs, they'd all be the same.
We'll even have a couple REAL IMPORTANT pieces, one representing the opponents eBackbone (killing is automatic fail cascade), the other piece can represent the omgpwn overpowered flavor of the month fleet (can move any way it wants, kills any other piece it comes across unless you catch it off guard)
And I'll call it: Eve Offline Wooden Edition!
.....Yeah, gonna have to work on the name.
--- Players are losing faith and loyalty in CCP due previous expansions not living up to player expectations. The CSM and CCP agreed that expectation management can be improved |

All electronics would have to be gone for that to happen. Massive solar flare could do it.
I think we'd have larger problems than just boredom on our hands. Actually, we'd probably find ourselves very busy what with the sudden collapse of modern civilization and all.

I think...
Shares in healthcare and beauty products go up, as millions of gamers the world over need to put their twitch skills to work on something - the opposite sex is the likeliest place this for this.
Shares in junkfood products go down.
There will be another baby-boom.
Outdoor sports and recreation goes up in its per-capita participation figures.
At the end of it all, probably have a healthier and smarter populace - with lots more people being born per year.
Fact is, without something to do, people tend to have more sex.
Ever wondered why there are more people with birthdays 9 months after winter?

Well if every console on the planet were to die. Then I'd be mostly uneffected. PC GAMING FOREVER!
However if EVERYTHING related to video gaming were to die, I'd probably go out and start looting because every single programmable electronic device has just gone out the window.
Computers and software development tools would be gone(those are directly related to gaming) Your TI calculator? Gone! There are a slew of old games back before the smartphone era, they still exist somewhere. Anything with a programmable computer... some nerd has probably compile a linux kernel for it, thus you could play some form of linux game. All those gone, that includes but is not limited to your smartphone, your not so smart phone, your calculator watch, some tvs, etc. Large swaths of the internet would be gone, many gaming sites share serverfarms with other stuff, those servers disappear, the other stuff goes too. Also the airforce just lost their most powerful supercomputer(a cluster of PS3s), so they'll be ****ed and might start nuking stuff. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

If I would have one, I probably would Or, alternatively, teach them that a short length of PVC pipe and a few scraps of paper plus some spit equals dirt-cheap urban paintball-style blowgun wargame (with cones instead of balls) that doesn't require clothes to get washed afterwards (unless you're a jerk and dip the tips into paint out of spite and easier "I hit you" proof - the alternative being including some pins in the top of the cone and counting screams, mwahaha). _

And only people with classic cars could go out Zombie hunting because anyone with a car made in the 1980s or later has a car that depends on computers for damn near everything. Heck some cars need a computer just to start because they did away with the tried and true key turn. I bet those pushbutton cars fail even in a jumpstart.

Before the days of electronic ignition a lot of cars just would not start in the winter. If you was a kid in the 80's you would remember the sound of cars trying to start on a cold day.

Maybe there's hope for our collective health, and in the long term, survival of the species. Just hoping these games won't die in my lifetime. -
