There is a guy living in a tutorial system recycling fresh alts daily just to spawn one of the combat missions and mine Pyro there in his BS. There are belts with Pyro one system over.
On one hand he is exploiting tutorial system and recycling alts, on the other hand there is ZERO gain from doing it. I dont even know WTF to think about it.

Feed the GMs a slightly skewed version of the "not allowed to scan down newbie sites" rule and get him kicked out? ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

The chars can just trade bookmarks.
Just show up in an industrial with a scan probe and a mining laser. Either steal from his can or just sit there and mine his rocks.
What system is this in?
edit: And can't you just fail the mission and get it again to avoid having to recycle alts/trial accounts?

I cannot even WTF understand what the issue is, recycling alts so long as he isn't going negitive sec status isn't much different then making an alt and using it to check market prices, they all come with a delete button if you are a "less then 1 day old" newb or 8 years old like Chribba. Mining the ore in the mission isn't much different then mining the ore in Gone Beserk level 3, he may have a BS but not much cabable right now with other skills as far as we know to blitz through missions until he gets one with ore. Everyone can exploit the tutorial agents for any race once, so when you are done with your empire you can go and run another 3 more sets and run the SoE arc every three months for some easy money + standing. And the problem is....? Maybe the guy doesn't want to be bothered while mining and most people are leaving newb systems, I stopped skilling for a hulk (Exhumer 3) after the third asshat attempted to get me into a one sided fight the same day for instant gratification for blowing up a ship in easymode because we all know stealing ore isn't profitable, almost as if they wanted a no challenge game like WoW.

Sure. He's probably not actually doing anything that's against the rules, but that doesn't make it any less fun to put in a good GM scare.
Of course, if he's in a mining BS, he'll have a hard time claiming that he's just a poor newb if someone does scan him down and gank him.
Quote: And can't you just fail the mission and get it again to avoid having to recycle alts/trial accounts?
Last time I played around with new characters, the newbie missions still had the same limitations as every other missions ù they only remained available for a week or so and were then lost forever and you only get one per downtime. By recycling alts, you could conceivably get two per slot per day if you time the biomassing right. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Can baiting != can flipping.
Pretty sure you're allowed to flip the can, as long as you don't name the can 'free stuff' or whatever.

This. Plus the guy is obviously not a new player so I seriously doubt a GM would look twice at a petition about being can flipped in a rookie mission while mining in a Battleship

You think the GMs would actually pay enough attention to that?
If he died via jetcan mechanics and filed a petition, all the GM would see in the 10 seconds skimming it was "death via can mechanics, banhammer the aggressor" ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

Edited by: Rocks Rock on 26/04/2011 00:43:11 I am a little confused, why does anyone care if this guy is mining in a BS in rookie systems? It's a pretty terrible way to make isk and has no impact on your gameplay, so.....

Good idea, let's waste GM time on this as well even though we don't even think the guy is doing anything wrong.

So many ppl in this game want to manage how others play.
Eve is so richly diverse between the market, the militia, the incursions, corporate wars with fleet battles, exploration, planetary play, manufacturing, mining, and more. There is so much more to do than I've been able to do since March 2004, but nearly every day I am told that I'm doing it wrong because I'm not currently pursuing someone else's favorite slice.
When I was a station trader and war dec'd by a three char corp (likely a person and two alts) I was taunted by a guy who station camped me in Amarr for a week. He sat in his BS for a week while I was making hundreds of millions and his taunts mostly centered on "how can you enjoy sitting in the station all the time?"
Other people cannot understand how I spent my first two years in nullsec and got tired of it.
Go, play the game any way you like. I promise you I will never force you to mine and you will never force me to PvP - unless I choose to.
Oh, I forgot a major venue in the game - control freaks!

Congratulations there is now a small chance CCP will reduce the number of roids spawned in tutorial missions.
