To race enthusiasts and speed demons,
On behalf of the newly formed New Eden Racing Association [NE-RA], as CEO and event organizer, it is with great pleasure to announce the formation of it's first League racing tournament, known officially as Season 1.0. The first league event is currently scheduled to begin on May 28th of this year.
The NE-RA Racing League is a twelve course competition whereby teams and racers vie for top position by accumulating the highest scores for three separate classes (frigates, assault frigates, and interceptors) under four brackets (Team, Rookie, Amateur, and Professional). The top three winners in each class will earn prizes supplied by our generous sponsors.
The official rules can be found here.
In anticipation of our first season, the NE-RA is seeking sponsorship from individuals and corporations interested in promoting their product, corporation, or message through all official announcements, on our corporate network, mailing lists, manuals, and communications channels. We are currently seeking a minimum goal of 500 million ISK for League prizes, and an additional 100 million ISK for five exhibition events during the season.
The minimum sponsorship contribution is 50 million ISK, and can be in the form of ISK, services, or goods. In addition to the name of your product, corporation/individual, or message, sponsors may include a banner image for our corporate network, a hyper-link for redirection to your network, and a short message or slogan for your product. All sponsorships will be public, and ordered beginning with the highest contributor to the League.
Are you a fledgling mercenary group seeking to spread your name, or perhaps a salvaging corporation looking to offer your services to a wider audience? Advertising your services as a sponsor of the NE-RA can be an effective marketing tool to achieving those goals. What better way for an industrial outfit to advertise their corporation than by sponsoring the League with their own cutting-edge product!
If you are interested in sponsoring the League, please contact Gyra Rho via FTL mail, or private message on our corporate network with your proposal. You may also contact me with questions or comments through similar channels, and any inquiries made here will be addressed as they come.
Thank you for your time.
Gyra Rho NE-RA CEO, Event Organizer

Generally, sponsorships are divided according to predetermined percentages, split evenly between the ship classes to ensure one isn't favored to heavily over another, but I am open to alternatives if the sponsor feels strongly about it. If your question wasn't general and you had a specific idea in mind, Mr. Airaken, feel free to contact me via mail with your interest and we can discuss it further.

The New Eden Racing Association is proud to announce our two latest League sponsors: Re-Awakened Technologies Inc. and capsuleer pilot Dewgong. Re-Awakened CEO Ciarente Roth was enthusiastic to support Season 1.0 in the amount of Two Hundred Million ISK, and as many of their pilots are veterans of the League we are delighted to welcome them to our family of sponsors.
And many throughout the racing scene will recognize Dewgong as an avid devotee to the sport, who has generously sponsored Seventy-Five Million ISK to this season from his own accounts. As always, we are looking forward to seeing him on the track this season to earn his money back, and perhaps even for a team? Time will tell...
...which brings our total sponsorships to a magnificent 925 Million ISK for season pots and exhibition prizes in Season 1.0. While we have achieved well beyond our initial goal, and in record time, the NE-RA is always interested in building our family of sponsors and developing new corporate relationships. If you're looking for an opportunity to take part in this season as our sponsor, do not hesitate to contact me, and help us break the billion mark!

In a surprising turn of events early this morning, sponsor Dewgong, racing enthusiast and a man never lacking in energy, has increased his total contribution from 75 million to Six Hundred and Seventy-Five Million ISK toward Season 1.0. This places the total event prizes to 1.6 billion ISK, and what we at the NE-RA speculate will be a big smile on every racer this season.

We might be enemies politically, and in space, but I do enjoy a good challenge. How far are you willing to go, good sir? Maybe, for the good of NE-RA, and to avoid an unneeded contest of wills and wallets, we just agree to match funds? With the caveat that any unused sponsorship Isk is carried over to the next season.
Is that fair enough?

Well this is quite an interesting turn of events today. Just a quick update on our current sponsorships, we have:
claire xxx on behalf of The Star Fraction, sponsoring an additional Four Hundred million ISK, increasing their total contribution to One billion ISK. Dewgong on his own behalf, contributing an additional One billion ISK, increasing his total contribution to One billion, six hundred and seventy-Five million ISK.
And two new individuals that have joined our family of sponsors: pilots Sabriel Aborson and PMSing. Sabriel took time out of her busy schedule grazing on the strawberry fields to contribute One Hundred Million ISK towards Season 1.0, and that's guaranteed to make everyone here at the League Muuu for Ms. Aborson. And like a good waffle should, PMSing was generous enough to sponsor the League for Fifty Million ISK from her personal account, bringing our current total to 3.15 Billion ISK for this season's events.
Many thanks to our sponsors in helping to make this season's events entertaining and memorable!

I'm not gonna dwell on your petty grievances, an' if you want to take it personal it's your problem, not mine. I've run a tight organization for over two years and six plus seasons under my belt as an organizer, and I like to think I've earned the right to call the Racing League the premiere event for racing entertainment. We might be the best, but it doesn't imply we're the only ones, so I don't know what your damage is. You expect me to advertise for you in our corporate description?

When I woke up from my long nap, a young fellow by the name of Darth graciously gave me 75 million ISK to help finance my return to piloting. In honor of the league's new incarnation, I'd like to give it to the NE-RA.
From all of us at Venture Racing, welcome back to space, Ms. Rho.

The New Eden Racing Association is proud to announce its latest official sponsor of Season 1.0, Venture Racing Team. Norrin Ellis, Venture's animated spokesman and unofficial team mascot, contributed Seventy-Five Million ISK, setting the total prize value for the season to an astonishing 4 billion ISK. The NE-RA welcomes the VRT to our family of sponsors, and look forward to seeing their performance during this season's events.

Given the nature of the event, it's extremely difficult to do both without contributions from the actual racers on the track, as we do not have individuals recording at each of the waypoints. We will have a post-event synopsis available for public consumption, along with updated point scores for teams and individuals. Generally, the best way to see what's happening is being on the track. *grins*

In surprising turn of events, our current sponsor Nicoletta Mithra has included an additional One Hundred and Twenty-Five Million ISK toward Season 1.0. Attributed to encouragement from her corporation, Ordo Novus Mul-Zatah, the added funds increases the total season pot for the League to an astounding 4.125 billion isk! On behalf of the New Eden Racing Association, we are proud to have her apart of our family of sponsors.

First season in nearly 2 years, with the biggest prize pool to date. All the old racers have rusted tremendously, so there really isn't a better time to give this a go!
So, what are you waiting for? ___

I'm not really the type for risking my crew for what is essentially a game. And these types of endurance rallies aren't really my thing anyway. I prefer the subwarp variant, with the thrill of taking corners at multiple km/s. That is a good spectator sport, by the way. If the NE-RA would decide to host subwarp races, my team would be among the first to sign up.

Well, Mr. Biko, since the function of crew is for maintenance and generally events don't last more than an hour or so, I think you'd be safe leaving them at home.
*grins*
And I won't speak for the league racers, but I'd venture a bet they get plenty of excitement from navigating dense asteroid fields, surviving the numerous dangers that inhabit a regular season event and walking away to tell the tale. Also, I haven't met too many capsule pilots who were comfortable sitting on the sidelines watching other people having a good time; What better way to discover what's happening than being there?
