I hear that people get the ban hammer for doing this, but I have a legit question.
Husband and wife scenario. Each has multiple accounts. All get paid from the common family credit card, but she signed up under her email addy, and he, his.
They know each other's passwords. They share bodily fluids, ffs, so you can't bloody well expect them to have private passwords on a bleedin vid game.
So, one is at work, at a place with neanderthalic internet policies and a sysadmin who think's he's napoleon reborn, and lords over the net traffic like some psycho nanny from hell, so there's no way in the wide sky world that eve can be accessed from there.
Let's say that one ( let's be REAL liberal here and say it's the sheila, and the bloke is a stay at home type, just for grins, eh? ) calls home and says "honey, one of my toons, Beatrix Badass, is about to run out of skill. Be a dear and toss crank spanking to level V in there for me, would ya? And toss a roast in the pot, I'll be home on time. Luv ya!"
Now, does bloke incur the wrath of the CCP Gods for doing this? You know damn well he'll do as asked. If you are married, you understand completely.
Suppose the request is "move me ship to x- so we can pew pew tonite straight away". Does that make it worse?
How about "you can use me hulk miner toon to speed up that mining op, sweetie......"
Or even "You know where the Titan is, I just got a batphone call on my cell, set up a jumpbridge between..........."
Mind you now, these are married folks, not too likely to say "sorry hun, CCP will wtfpwnbbq me account if I do.........."

If a car is driving down the road at 20 miles per hour over the speed limit and there is no cop within 50 miles, is it still breaking the Highway Traffic Act?
If yes, would you drive over the limit anyways?
Or you could go to the police station and ask them if they think it's ok..

My guess is that due to the fascist* corp internet policy, all logins will be coming from the same IP address/ISP and likely won't be flagged by any software that looks for this sort of thing.

Do you wait for the crossing like to change to "Walk" before you cross the street with no cars in sight?
Your examples are about as stupid.

She doesn't WANT to log in at work, you tard.
She just wants him at home to do things for her while she's at work.

The only way to get an authoritative answer is to petition it. I would think "Rules & Policies", then "EULA & Terms of Service", is the right place.

Kinda quick on the insult trigger aren't you?
FWIW, the example is completely correct (as is yours). According to the ToS, account sharing is a punishable violation. But, most likely it's not an enforceable one until it becomes an issue.
Let's say the one person (why you chose to make this about a hetero couple rather than being open-minded and allowing for any type of relationship is a bit offensive)...anyway, one person in the relationship is at work. The other needs some help transporting some ice back to the POS and loads up the worker-bee's toon who is Orca-qualified.
While doing this, the Orca gets popped by some heartless pirate. The person at work comes home to find the Orca gone and petitions CCP, claiming that the Orca shouldn't have been destroyed because they were at work all day.
CCP checks the logs and says "well, if you were at work all day who was logged into your account at 10:30?"
Worker bee yells "OMG!! HAXX!" and account gets locked up until things get settled.
Or maybe Worker bee and Lazy bum break up and one forgets to change their password. Mayhem. Pull in CCP and they point at your ToS violation and tell you to fill out Form1034 (Tear Request Form).
Bottom line...you'll likely get away with it...it probably happens all of the time...but don't go crying to CCP when something goes wrong and you get a tempban or something for it. It's more CYA for those situations than it is for any other.

And saying 10% is being damned generous.

Couldn't agree more mate. I don't see any "Proud Hetros of EvE" threads about. We are supposed to respect their viewpoint but I have yet to see "Gays" respect "Hetros" yet.
Such an example was the "Kissing" episode in a bar in soho in London. No-one is allowed to do anything indecient in the place including kissing to respect other patrons (both Hetro and Homo) yet when 2 guys flouted that rule twice and were escorted from the premisis a big facebook campaign was targeted against the bar by gays trying to hold a gay kiss-in in the bar. Even though the sexuality of the guilty parties wasn't part of it.
Gays are allowed to be "loud and proud" and in your face yet shout about respect. Respect has to be earned and is a two way street.
They make me sick....... I'm hetrosexual and proud.

To answer the OP:
In a husband and wife scenario CCP will never find out who actually accessed which account so this is perfectly OK.
Until you post on the forums about it.

This is really the point, mate.
And doesn't that make for a double-standard of sorts?
Like you say, who is gonna tell? And it is far less likely that one spouse will pull an epic corp theft on the other......far less than a pair of mates sharing. So, old married pair have a distinct advantage over a similar sized small corp with a few mates.
Just looking for some level in the playing field..............

An interesting question, and one I would like to see answered in forums, but doubt it ever will be as there is too much politics in the CCP camp and there would be trolling and flaming which would distract the Devs and GMs more than they currently are.
If what you ask is important then the petition is the way where you could argue and put your case and HOPEFULLY get a definitive answer. Don't hold your breath as I think that the mindset of CCP has changed to the "jobsworth" setting.

Nobody cares if two people from the same household share accounts. CCP will never check unless you get banned for something else and then you're dumb enough to bring up account sharing as an excuse ("it wasn't me it was my wife/kid/dog !" or "i'm not botting i swear me and my family just share accounts 24/7 !").
Which sadly is pretty common, even on the forums.

This is fine. If you're silly enough to use account sharing as an excuse then you get what you deserve.
However, what happens when you **** off people that will do anything to win and they find out you're account sharing. They then mass petition spam your accounts for account sharing. No one has done anything out of bounds except sharing accounts. What should CCP do?
Really, they should set a hard and fast rule rather than dealing with isolated cases of account sharing that cause other problems harshly.
Or we could all go on sharing accounts with our friends and family with CCP more often than not, none the wiser.

When MMO's first started up, people quickly offered "level up your character" services. You give them you account details and some money, and a week later get back a high level character. In eve it would be give them you account details and money, and a week later get back a high standing character with 10 billion isk.
Assuming you are not scammed. And there is the rub: CCP does not want to deal with claims of account hacking that are actually due to using a level up service, or any other form of account sharing, such as: "I let my 'friend' try eve, using my account, and now all my stuff is gone". Easier for CCP to make it a EULA violation.
Another reason is ISK farming: one account played around the clock by multiple people to make isk for sale.
Bottom line: If you share your account and something bad happens, don't complain to CCP as all they will do is point you to the EULA, not give you your stuff back, and possibly ban you.

Originally by: BellaDonna Nyghtshade Husband and wife scenario.
It has been acknowledged by CCP that in the vast majority of cases, they could not realistically distinguish between multiple accounts in the same household or accounts with multiple users in the same household, so that THEY WILL NOT ENFORCE the "no sharing" rules as long as the accounts in question remain in the same household.
THE EXCEPTION would be excessive use (like, say, having a round-robin between household members so that the accounts remain online, active and performing tasks for far longer than it would be realistically possible for a single person), in which case, the macro/botting police would start getting interested (for reasons that should be relatively obvious), in which case, even if the "no multi" rule is not directly enforced, the accounts might still get punished indirectly.
Kind of like Al Capone and tax fraud
---
TL;DR : you will not get banned if your wife changes skills for you. You WILL risk getting banned if your wife mines for 6 hours, then you mine for 6 hours, then your two kids mine for 5-6 hours each on a daily basis.
