It only says faction ammo and missiles are allowed. Does that mean that navy cap boosters arent allowed since its a charge? ______________________

Correct, only ammunition and missiles are allowed to be faction variants. I will have the rules updated to clearly state this excludes faction cap charges.

Pretty much, please double and even triple check. Navy cap boosters are very common and cheap, but are used as ammo so there is no good reason navy ammo is allowed, while navy cap boosters are not. Note, these are not drugs, but 800, 400, 200 etc cap charges.

Whoa good spot Derwent, my mind just assumed that navy cap boosters were still allowed.

Dissallowing faction cap charges feels silly, what's the point? They are very widely used on TQ and relatively cheap. ----------

Edited by: Raivi on 05/05/2011 13:53:07 I think some of us here would like a bit more clarification to make sure no mistake is being made. Last year navy cap boosters were allowed, so it is important that this be an intentional decision instead of a misremembering of last year's details.
This is no small change either.
Just to be sure, I looked up Claw's decision from last year. It is of course the right of the new team to change these rules, but I wanted to confirm that we're all on the same page. ---------------------------------------------

OK, I'm going to blame all this confusion on CCP Claw, as the rules page wasn't actually updated for last year to reflect this change allowed the Navy Cap boosters.
We are aiming to keep the rules as similar to last time as possible, so since our dearly beloved CCP Claw allowed them last time, we will adhere to that, and you can therefor disregard my previous post in the thread. Instead of updating the rules to reflect them being dis-allowed, I will have it explicitly saying that faction capacitor boosters are allowed as well.

Yes Derwent. You are still only allowed 100 points. Not 101 points. I hope this answers your question. If you are unhappy with this answer I will buy you a shiny new blaster fitted Moa. --------------------------------------- www.eve-pirate.com original author |
