Edited by: Equinox Daedalus on 05/05/2011 22:18:36 Edited by: Equinox Daedalus on 05/05/2011 22:18:04 Since the fall of Providence to -A- and its allies, to the small push of CVA back into providence that was eventually squashed by evoke and its allies nc. and others, CVA and others have steadfast been determined to see nrds in providence again.
While we slowly got leaner, meaner, and a bit more religous zealots amongst our midsts, times in providence have changed as well. As we have steadfast been that annoying "gnat" that evoke and others have had to put up with in providence, we have continued to fight according to our princilples and as with our way of life.
Earlier today, after much delegation as well as many "gnat" attacks against thier allies, Evoke diplomats as well as those in the CVA allied block met to discuss an agreement that would resolve some of our differences as well as set forth a way forward for NRDS to once again begin to grow in providence.
As a gesture of goodwill, Ev0ke has pledged to transfer the R3 system to the CVA as the first step towards building bridges of reconcilliation which may lead to future amicable relationships and further spiritual discussions. As everyone knows, the R3 system was the first null-sec system to be liberated by the CVA back in 106 EST, as such it was the first Amarrian capsuleer secured system and became the hub of the Amarr faith as it continued to branch into the Providence region.
I would say that through much heated talks back and forth, a ammicable solition was reached upon which we would cease our pesky assaults in order for peaceable transfer of sovernty. This mutually benifical pact will include many systems over time, but the initall agreement ceeds control of r3 to cva and its allies in a fine act of respect from Evoke and its allied block.
While evoke and thier allies may have thier sights set upon other goals, of which we in the greater amarrian/cva community do not know, or they may some day fall to the light that is NRDS we have no way to know, but from our end, thier terms were reasonable as well as benifical to us and to them. I would espically like to thank the Evoke diplomat who put up with many a stubborn amarrian (and those who wish to be like myself) who have at times been steadfast in the diplomacy.
Perhaps someday all of providence may become NRDS fertile grounds that it once was, full of bustling life, teaming with trade, pirates, pirate hunters, random odd roaming gangs, or perhaps not. This is no promise of a rose garden, however merely a step in planting one. Some day we may look back on this time and see new and benfical relations between Evoke and CVA, or not. Time will tell. I can say however that CVA welcomes the peaceful talks between hostiles who at times are not so hostile.
In closing, I hope to some day share an Amarr Victor with future allies in evoke, if that time comes, until then, we are on guard again for the many threats to such a garden that may come along.

Where once darkness was, light will come. Few steps are made, a long tail is in front of us. ev0ke and Allies welcome back CVA in Providence. We are looking forward a new era of mutual respect and new relationships. Time alone, time will tell.

We of the Clergy bless this new direction and pray for it's success.
Providence is a dead patch of space where once it flourished, teeming with life and enterprise. The outposts were full of commerce, and the worlds below thrived.
Let it be so once more.

You know as well as any here Vlad, there are only a handful of capsuleer alliances capable of taking space on their own.
It is a fool who doesn't do what it takes to accomplish their goals. CVA is willing to do whatever it takes to restore ammarian supremacy. Would it be nice if they could by themselves wipe everyone off the table? Yes, however I applaud them for putting their goals before baseless pride and arrogance. It is acts such as these that prove they are worth their name.

This is encouraging news indeed. What diplomats were involved in the discussions?

This is wonderful news. And I look forward to seeing more and more of these updates in the weeks to come. While I enjoy the picture painted by the reference of the 'gnat', I do believe (and both the result and my own observations lead me to believe so) that the CVA and it's allies have proved to be much more than just an annoyance. Instead a genuine force that is shown not by numbers and strength, but instead by direction and resolve.
I applaud all those involved, both in space and in the diplomacy comms.
A great day for God and His Empire.

Not one to **** on your parade but isn't making deals with Nation supporters a bit too much of a compromise of your supposed principles?
Interesting that your topic title could be one of Sansha's own?

Originally by: Vlad Cetes I see CVA intends to continue being unable to secure and hold its own claim. How much is Ev0ke charging for the system?
If Mercilessdot were faced with an invasion force of 40-60 Super Carriers and 20-25 Titans would you be able to hold your own claim?
The CVA are not buying our space back, quite the opposite, we have laid siege to over 17 systems with the help of our allies and claimed around 8 already so far. Many other systems are now under concord timed reinforcement.
Evoke and Allies would rather work with the CVA and restore balance to Providence while being able to remove assets freely and without hinder, so in return it would seem instead of grinding all structures down we will simply refund them the cost of the sovereignty modules and upgrades where a simple transfer can be made so that both sides are able to come out even.
It is my understanding that the CVA do not wish nor want control of the entire region of Providence, quite frankly we have cut allot of fat as you say and revamped our doctrine with quality over quantity.
The CVA wish to once again be able to invite law abiding citizens to come and make use of Holy Amarrian Providence where they may get their first taste of life in outlaw security space with Sansha bounty hunting, mining, trade, and commerce.
The CVA have been at war over Providence for the past 18+ months, we have faced over 35 different Alliances, we have retaken some of our space to only have it taken away again, and then have to start the cycle all over.
I would like to commend my fellow Evoke colleague RedShadow, and the leader of the CVA Equinox Daedalus for reaching an amicable deal that will benefit all parties.
What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step. It is always the same step, but you have to take it.

Edited by: Niding on 06/05/2011 11:10:08 Vlad;
If you look at the conduct of SOV warfare these days, very few entities secure space on their own as most defending 0.0 entities have allies. Ev0ke on the other hand were quite formidable when they first arrived in Providence, but for the most part they are more the exception than the rule.
Anyhow, back to the original message by Equinox; great news and good luck with the rebuilding of NRDS in Providence. |

Well, if track record is anything to go by CVA will wait until they think their new masters are weak then make a push to "reclaim" the rest of provi before getting hilariously kerbstomped back into empire. ---------- Who, me? |

Anyway best news in along time, for CVA R3 is one of the most important systems to own if you ever want to rebuild a prospering NRDS region (not really much point in NRDS area when you cannot get there without being shot as neutral). Hopefully this way the slow process of rebuilding an NRDS area can begin. And make no mistake it will be a long journey before the ammount of neutrals will reach levels similar to those in past in providence, but every journey starts with a first step.

Still doesn't get over the fact that most, if not all, of Providence is unprofitable from the perspective of the sov-holders. It'd be a great irony if all those outposts that CVA built, combined with the steady flow of neutral trade under NRDS, become the only way to make the region pay for itself
On the surface, this move seems weak for CVA, as just as they appear to be having an impact, they cave in and begin to negotiate terms. Looks even weaker for NCDOT and Evoke, who I can only assume are looking for an exit strategy

It baffles me how anyone can see this as anything but a positive thing for the entire NRDS commmunity as well as the Amarr Empire.
Words like 'new masters' and claiming the move to be against the principles of the CVA really show that there is more work to be done to show the people of the cluster what CVA is about. Read the public statements by CVA and you will see it's not about crushing enemies, or showing power.
What CVA has managed to do, is open a dialogue (somehow, and again, this is impressive) with an opposing force. Then, through that dialogue, find a solution that doesn't include bloodshed, saves the lives of Amarrians, slaves, and allies, as well as those neutrals who may wish to trade in the area.
It makes me happy to see the renewed spiritual direction of the CVA can lead to such results. Perhaps this could be the start of a bloodless reclaiming, in which His word is spread through mouths to ears, rather than focused energy on hulls.
Again, well done to those on both sides for showing what can be achieved by level discussion.

Indeed, their willingness to work with self-avowed Sansha's Nation supporters does indeed show what CVA is about.

Evoke have agreed to pull out of the system to allow CVA to take back control. They clearly have their own reasons, at this point one could only speculate, but it may just be as simple as fighting against CVA not being of benefit to them at this point.
CVA are attempting to bring peace and prosperity back to Providence, and this time they are doing it with peaceful methods as well.

I would say one man's dirt is another man's land.
As stated clearly here we negotiated a peaceable transfer of space. While we may have over time taken back much of what we are getting atm this time ( xr3 x6 ay_y were under duress and sov attack and indeed we have as a coalition taken many systems before this treaty) this provides for a peaceful transfer of systems over time as well as a relationship going forward.
I've said there is no stop to someone bringing in a massive supercaps blob against us again and again but at the end of the day as we are quite willing to show we are a vastly stubborn bunch. Anyone who has been through the surrounding areas of r3 would know that indeed while we did not have sov in those systems we had a reasonable amount of control and movements.
Eventually CVA and its allies hope to continue with peaceful exploration of relationships between all parties that are interested in having them. However we do not at the end of the day wish to margin away what we believe is the true path to enlightnment.
Any question as to the relationships between our different allied blocks can be seen as akin to two different countries who have agreed to settle certian boundary lines in nrds and nbsi philosophies. We have chosen along the lines that we can work some things out with the hopes of perhaps someday finding a new ally to call that will respect the nrds policies we try to enforce to the best of our abilities as well as other goals in the long term.
For better days I'd hope

To be honest... Ev0ke and Ewokes had to much internal troubles (leaving members and corps, mismanagement and a lot of spy-action) to fight more than one fight at the same time.
