I also had this problem. I fixed it by reloading my monitors drivers. I have a Samsung monitor and went to the samsung website and got them. Hope this helps ya out. This space reserved for something witty..... |

This is an issue with Radeon cards. This was fixed in a recent driver update but it appears to have reappeared.
A quick fix is to run in fixed window mode at a full screen resolution. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

This issue is in the Radeon graphics card drivers, and should have been fixed in the Catalyst 10.12 (Release Notes). Please make sure you're using the latest Catalyst driver. If the problem still persists with the latest driver, try and use one driver before that and see if it's still an issue.

This happened to me on a Nvidia GPU laptop recently. It is a bit like sticking your finger over the light level sensor (which is what I thought it was) except it dims further, faster, and recovers slower. Its only happened a couple of times in the last 2 weeks so no real pain, but might this be the same as the radeon thingy ?

try not to force gfx options through the driver, set it to "let app decide" or whatever it's called for you, just set it ingame (AA level and so on).

Edited by: Jinkei on 05/06/2011 21:47:11 I have the same with a Sapphire HD 5770 VaporX and a Samsung SyncMaster P2350. Latest drivers for both have not fixed the issue. Its is not the biggest issue, but a nuisance. ctrl+alt+del or running Eve in windowed mode help as an intermediate solution.

Correction, apparently I did not have the latest driver. That one did fix it.

Had screen color issue. Fixed by downloading latest Catalyst software and drivers from the link given above.
Thanks for that :)
