How is their opinion not important. Especially if you live in Europe. I will not be voting in the CSM election, so you need to go vote to make up for me. |

I voted for Blizz for Community Management and Zarhym from Blizz. They do a seriously bang up job getting the word out that and being active in receiving community feedback and popping off questions to the devs that players have requested.
Not that I don't think CCP does a job, its just that the process seems more open.
Just logged in tonight to toll around on my rogue and get acquainted to the changes coming in Mists of Pandaria. Its kind of funny how a getting back into a game feels a bit like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket. (I haven't be really active since D3 came out. Mostly just tooling around the forums and answering questions for new rogues.)
I can tell this winter is going to be hectic with the new expansion out, Diablo 3 on the side, SWTOR going free to play, and still trying to play enough to be worth the subscription. Not to mention that EQ is now FTP for a nice diversion, and still trying to be a good tester for Planetside 2.
I may need to make some hard choices. :P I like big guns. I can not lie. You other suckas can't deny. When I warp in, with an itty bity sig, with an arty in your face, you get sprung. You want to pull out your debuffs, 'cause you want to loot my stuff...deep, in a worm with nary, an escape but you can't stop staring. 'Cause, Oh crap!, Baby's got Point! |

As terrible as that game is, for it to have such a large number of "subscribers" is a testament to the loyalty and passion of LOTR fans. EVE wishes it could match that passion. |

I killed a dragon yesterday, though admittedly with help from the LotR guys not our Eve bretherin.
The Eve people I live near to in relative safety were too busy writing a petition to the dragon's mother because its fire attack was pretty powerful and they had decided to build their houses out of wood instead of stone . |

Yeah its easy to be passionate about a game that does not completely suck balls. The world is a community of idiots doing a series of things until it explodes and we all die. |

What? Flame based breath weapons have always been overpowered, everybody knows that!
If we weren't meant to build our houses out of wood, why is it the most plentiful resource available? It is also much cheaper to build and heat than a stone house, so it is obviously supposed to be the material of choice.
Dragons using flame attacks are simply trying to grief us, pure and simple. Thier flame attacks cost them nothing, while we have to invest the time and money necessary to build from wood. They live in a cave, so they don't care... and don't even get me started on the extra coin they pick up by selling the our valuables that they sift from the ashes.
Obviously wood houses should retain their inherent advantages and yet be made as fire resistant as stone, as it makes no sense to be able to build a house that can be burnt down by any passing stray dragon no matter what material you choose to use. To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base. |
