evening all, just a quick question i have a decent supply of wh gases atm and im not sure what is best to do with them tbh, should i sell as a raw material or can i/should i refine gas to make something else?
these are the gases i have acess to atm
Fullerite-C28 Fullerite-C32 Fullerite-C60 Fullerite-C70 Fullerite-C72 Fullerite-C84

Check the prices in Jita for them. Also check the prices for the polymers and do the math; in most if not all cases the polymer will net you a higher profit (don't forget to deduct POS fuel for the reactor), albeit at a higher effort.

At the very least you shuold react the gas.

I live in a C5, so I have access to all fullerene gases.
I just sell them. It is too much hassle to react them in my opinion. Been there. Done that.
Check the profits. Typically only the top two reactions, C3-FTM and Carbon-86, will pay for the cost of running a medium Gallente reaction-only tower, but I've not checked fuel and polymer prices recently.

You sir, need to do a spreadsheet. It's the only way.
Some reactions provide up to 20% markup, but will that cover your added POS fuel costs? Other reactions are just terrible and you should just sell the gas. Still other gases are just worth almost nothing and the volume you need to transport isn't worth your time, and you shouldn't have mined them in the first place.

One thing to keep in mind is efficiency. You can transport a hell of a lot more refined products than you can the raw gasses themselves. You can also, if you wish, use the refined gases and sleeper chunks to start component manufacturing on the road to T3 production.
